Super mega turbo delish

Found on a cold wet winter afternoon- plenty of vegan options, super friendly staff, REALLY tasty, quick service, love the chips, love the sauces, cooks were willing to modify. I’m from Ballarat and will be driving to Daylesford JUST for this. It was so good!!!

Pros: I had a quesadilla and chips- 10/10, Staff- lovely!, Options- MANY!

Cons: Music was pretty loud?, Ummmm… I ate so much my tummy hurt?, Couldn’t finish whole plate of chips w 2 people

Don't go here

I went here and clearly stated I was vegan and ordered the vegan nachos. They came out with really stretchy cheese and what looked like sour cream. I doubled checked with the person that served me that what I had was in fact vegan.
They said it was.
I ate more and then decided I literally had to triple check because I couldn't believe it was vegan. It was discovered it wasn't vegan. Because of the way they type their dockets it goes into the kitchen veg nachos. No matter if you order veg or vegan nachos it will shortcut to veg nachos.
They then served me vegan nachos which I didn't want to eat because I'm lactose intolerant and I was anticipating being really sick later.
I went to get my money back and tell them it wasn't good enough because I'd checked even and they assured me.
The person in the kitchen first seemed really unsympathetic like we served her another dish that's good enough, and then I mentioned the second check with the staff which then she questioned them in front of me. They said vegan/vegetarian is the same. It is not. If you cannot even teach your staff the difference or the mindset that this is an extremely important thing to get right that is not good enough. I don't believe they acted sorry enough apart from the front of staff lady I spoke too who said she completely understood as she as lactose intolerant and took it to the kitchen and seemingly had to fight for them to even come see me.
I would not recommend this treatment to anyone and as they didn't act in any way like they would change the system I don't think I can guarantee this wouldn't happen to anyone else.
Essentially they don't care enough or don't know there stuff enough.
I extremely do not recommend. I've been vegan for nearly 7 years and haven't been treated like this or cared for less.

Cons: Don't even care about veganism

This unfair criticism is out of date. And not a reflection of the current situation

quirky

The vegan tacos have felafel in them which I found quite odd! I ordered the vegan nachos and they, strangely, had hummus on them - but it worked! They don’t have vegan cheese or sour cream but they make up for it with lots of tasty, plant-based ingredients. For $19, the nachos came in a huge bowl, topped with chickpeas, black beans, guacamole, pumpkin, pickled eggplant, and salsa. I added red and green hot sauce for a properly tasty and filling lunch. Actually, it was a bit too substantial for a midday meal on a hot summer day. I have a big appetite and I was stuffed. The space is cute. We sat outside, which was essentially in a car park but still quiet and cozy. Pretty good value compared with other local options - Daylesford is expensive!

Pros: tasty , filling , cute
