Best vegan Döner I had in a long time - Edit
Little very friendly place that sells out of a window. The vegan Döner was so so good! The warm bread, fresh veggies and sauces were all very flavorful and I was happy to be able to eat something else than always falafel. 9 € for a Döner is quite expensive, but it was delicious and very filling, so I didn't mind.

Der vegane Döner ist zwar recht teuer, schmeckt aber sehr lecker und ist gut belegt mit viel Salat und drei Soßen. Das Brot und der Seitan sind sehr knusprig. Das Personal war auch sehr freundlich.

Der Döner ist gut. Aber 8,50 € sind dafür meiner Meinung nach ein wenig overpriced. Es wird aus einem Fenster heraus verkauft. Das heißt man muss den Döner mitnehmen oder vor dem Laden im Stehen essen.
Read moreWenn man in der Gegend ist und Bock auf einen Döner hat, ist der Laden einen Besuch wert. Eine längere bzw. gezielte Anreise lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach jedoch nicht.

Kind of overrated - Edit
The Frankfurt community seems to be in agreement: the best vegan döner can be found at Lop Lop. And somehow I just... don't get it? I'm not going to say it's bad, but it definitely doesn't live up to the hype. Especially the seitan tasted rather bland, I don't know if it's because of the herbs and spices or because of the way of preparation, but I believe some Maillard flavors from roasting or frying would have benefited it a lot. As it is, it falls behind the döner of "Mc Döner" in Niederrad. And if I'm being honest, even if I wouldn't want to go all the way to Niederrad, I still wouldn't buy another döner from Lop Lop if I can just grab a bite from Cigköftem (like dürum, but different filling) or a döner pizza from Pizzeria Schlaflos, both being in very close vicinity. Give it a try if you want, but if you've fallen for the hype, you might want to lower your expectations again.
