Best grocery store in Halifax

If I could I would buy everything at Local Source. Unfortunately, they don't have beans and legumes so I have to go elsewhere.
Are you worried that shopping local is going to cost you an arm and a leg? Well, let me tell you: apples are cheaper here! (I have not compared anything else.)
They have a kombucha growler refill station. It's a little pricey, but no pricier than regular kombucha.
The staff are always happy to help you find anything. And they share your excitement whenever some new fruit or vegetable is in season.
I cannot truly articulate how much I love this place. Their baked goods are delicious. They support local agriculture. They even sell seeds and sometimes plants. I love Local Source. Please try shopping here. It will change you.

Pros: LOCAL!!!, Friendly staff, Low-waste

Cons: Farther from my house than superstore :(

Lots to see

Local Source is a go to for vegan businesses and the like. Their store is stocked full of local companies food and other creations.

I haven't been in in awhile but they I do know they carry brands like Eggcitables (vegan egg substitute), Good Parma and more. You'll find fresh bread, local produce and a lot more.
