The vegan restaurant selection in Fengyuan is pretty slim, but LN Fortunate Coffee will take great care of your needs. I tried the Happy spicy Korean risotto (快樂歐爸燉飯), the pudding milk tea (紅玉布丁奶茶), and tiramisu (提拉米蘇). There are various modest discounts off desserts and drinks with the purchase of a meal, and if you flash your Plants Fan VIP card, you get a free pan-fried bean curd sheet (香煎豆包). I was quite satisfied with the spiciness level of the rice dish even though I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't really risotto in the traditional sense (i.e., with Arborio rice and vegan cheese). The pudding milk tea was superb and hit my craving for pudding right on the head. The tiramisu was not exactly traditional but still tasted delicious, fluffy, and chocolatey. And the bean curd sheet was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside: perfect! The staff were really sweet and happy to chat with me about how I found out about the LN Fortunate Coffee brand last May at the Vegan Frenzy in Taichung, as well as how much I miss their black pepper buns since I haven't been able to taste them again ever since that event. One staff member promised that she would check with the Zhishan location (which is closer to where I live) and have them post on their Facebook page whenever they are carrying them. I'm happy to have been the one to give them a HappyCow sticker to put in their window, too!
