Serves meat, vegan options available. Food and drink is a fusion of old and new, where East meets West. Offers an abundance of vegan menu items from dimsum, side dishes to mains and desserts. The menus are constantly changing as many of the dishes are seasonal and change with the fresh produce available. Also has a vegan set menu with a minimum order of 4 to eat together. It is designed as a sharing coursed meal with many dishes and flavors to share. Most of the dishes on their set menus are not available on the regular a-la-carte menu so it is recommended customers to book at least 48 hours in advance. Has live music. Open Tue-Fri 12:00-22:00, Sat 10:00-22:00, Sun 10:00-20:00.

Unique vegan set menu

Whole vegan menu, also serves meat.
Ambience is lovely and you get given lots of food. We ordered tempura and dumplings including red bean bao and savoury options with lotus and vegetables.

Pros: Whole vegan menu, Food was different to anything I’ve eaten before , Unique

Cons: Cash or bank transfer only, No separate fryer for vegan stuff, Was very quiet when I went

Delicious!

Lots of great vegan options at an affordable price with generous portions. Dishes are delicious and full of flavours, shitake & vegetable buns are my favourite! Also, their menu has clearly marked vegan wine.

[UPDATE, March 2024] - still delicious, still highly recommend. This time we tried one of their vegan set menus for two (they have 9 separate set menus to choose from) - we decided to try "Allegro" which included deep fried platter (fried daikon and baby corn were absolutely amazing), seasonal salad (cucumber & lotus root with sesame oil dressing), steamed bun and rice pouch, dim sum platter, roast edemame mianjin with pancake wrap and for dessert fried apple gyoza and sesame mochi. £65 for two.

Fantastic vegan selections!

Great selection of vegan options. Great to see as many vegan set menus as meat. We particularly enjoyed the succulent steamed delicacies. The mock duck was to die for, but no ducks were harmed. A must visit in Cambridge, especially considering some vegan restaurants have recently closed down😒Look forward to returning. PS. Vegan cocktails aplenty

Pros: Good portion sizes, Reasonable price, Everything handmade

Cons: NONE!

Vegan tasting menu

The food here was SO good. Tried the vegan tasting menu (tofu and seitan) including the vegan platter and 2 X curries. Some of the best food I've had in a while. Staff were super attentive, food is well labelled veggie/ vegan and lots to choose from.

Pros: Vegan options , Really nice staff

Cons: Mid range price

Amazing vegan selection, well labelled menu and lovely atmosphere

Wonderful food! The menus are really well-labelled, with a verywide selection of vegan starters, mains, sharing platters, desserts and drinks (hot/cold/alcoholic/non-alcoholic).
Between three of us, we had one of the vegan sharing platters (generous selection of dim sum and deep-fried vegan stuff along with a lotus root salad, for £40), and also a main dish to share too (dry fried black bean tofu balls with rice). To drink we had one of the black teas from the extensive tea menu, and 'red sugar ginger soya milk malt' which was a warm milky drink that was slightly spicy.
The service is very good - our server was attentive and anticipated things before we asked for them, like water for the table, hot water refill for the teas, brining the next sharing platter just when we finished the first one etc.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy, calm and clean - a really relaxing meal. On weekends they have live music so it's probably more raucous then!

Pros: Wide variety of vegan options, Delicious food, Great service and atmosphere

Cons: Quite expensive (but big portions)

Really lovely dim sum restaurant with almost 50% vegan menu.

With an almost 50% vegan menu and really clearly marking which dishes were vegan there was plenty to chose from, especially as dim sum isn't usually vegan. Really friendly, approachable staff happy to explain the dishes to a novice like me and they offered take away.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Clearly labled menu with what was vegan, Reasonably priced

Cons: You have to have the set menu on a Fri and Sat, No dipping sauces for dumplings in take away, Lots of plastic containers for take away

Fantastic vegan choice

Shame I can't give five stars because although it is not a vegan restaurant I think they have the most vegan choice I have seen in a non-vegan restaurant so far! The food is delicious, I went with another vegan so we sampled quite a few items between us! I would highly recommend the deep fried vegan platter and the seitan skewers are the best seitan I have ever tasted. On top of all this choice the staff are lovely and provide great service.

Brilliant vegan options

Very tasty vegan options at this place (see my many photos, we go regularly). They sometimes have live traditional music. Has special set price gyoza menu on Mondays. Well worth visiting, usually no need to book.

Pros: Many tasty vegan dishes, Friendly knowledgeable staff, Also serves alcohol

Cons: Cash only, Food comes when ready, not always at same time

Excellent Dim Sum, Sides and Mains Vegan options! 5 stars!

WHAT I HAD: Har Gow (4 Pcs) [£4.30], Vegan Mandu (4 Pcs) [£3.50], Spicy Bamboo Shoot Salad with nuts (Vegan) [£5.00], Taro and Ginko in Green Curry (Vegan) [£10.00], Vegan Karaage Bento [£9.00 Set Lunch with Cold Drink]

A wide variety of snacks and meals ranging from dim sums to noodles and main meals, all handmade! They specialise in teas and Dim Sum, and offer great deals of set meals for one person and groups. Also, a surprising amount of vegan options too! So, I definitely recommend it for vegan and non-vegans looking for fresh, delicious and affordable variety of Chinese food for any time of the day!
The Dim Sum is good (dumplings have some room for improvement but still great)! The side dishes and main meals are fresh, quality and well cooked, and I love that they use ingredients not commonly found in the typical Chinese food fare (i.e. Gingko, Prickly Ash etc.) that is a breath of fresh air especially for the vegan options as it goes beyond the usual tofu and mushrooms! The staff of this mostly family run restaurant is friendly and warm, they are also very flexible to requests. I love the eclectic décor that although it is mainly Chinese antiques, somehow still has a contemporary feel to it, perhaps due to the minimal design and well-spaced seating. The ambience is a mix of cosy and classy, a place I also love spending time at even if it’s just enjoying some snacks with a pot of tea while people watching and taking in the beautiful antiques (some of which are for sale) in the store. I also heard that they have musical entertainment at night.

Would give 5 stars!!!!!

Had a very good value lunch here today and we even booked a table for the coming Valentine’s Day. We have been searching for a place with a large selection of both vegan food and meat dishes because I am a vegan but my boyfriend is not. They have a wonderful selection of drinks and some very interesting dishes that I cannot wait to try. The menu is clearly labelled so it looks easy to navigate and they also have vegan alcohol options available too. They also have champagne, a bonus treat for Valentines :)

Quirky, calm and lovely!

This is an Asian cafe/restaurant at the front of a music shop, selling Violins and Cellos (among other string instruments). The ethos is really lovely, with little notes and explanations about the food and ambience they are trying to create. I particularly enjoyed the ancient story of the origins of ‘wife cake’.
Food is nice, service is friendly and attentive and we really felt they were trying to give Vegans more choice.
It was just a little pricey though, £10 for stir fried veg with garlic or a tofu curry, which is about the same as they charge for the omni dishes.
Jasmine and Green flower tea was utterly delicious!

Pros: Clearly labelled vegan options & many choices, Jasmine green flower tea , Lovely ethos

Cons: Not the cheapest

Absolutely delicious, reasonably priced

I wish I could give five stars! The food here is fantastic, there are so many vegan options that despite three visits I've only tried about a third of them in total, and the service is lovely. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful. The environment of the restaurant is really calming, with the violins being a lovely touch!

This place was amazing. The vegan options were clearly labelled and the staff very helpful and friendly. The vegan dumpling soup was amazing as was the sweet red bean steamed buns. Had a lovely ginkgo curry and a something ash bowl (sorry can’t remember the name but it was the vegan version!) both extremely nice. The Angelica tea was amazing too! Next time I might just go for soup and share some sides though. The portions are generous! Strongly recommend. Live music and was also wonderful!

Pros: all the food (with vegan dessert options), brilliant range of teas with info on their benefit, very lovely staff

Cons: none
