Local desserts - Edit
It’s rare to find local desserts that are also vegan. The jelly is made without gelatine and every dish uses coconut milk. The staff were really kind and felt so nice to be part of the local food scene

Nice light dessert - Edit
It was a nice light dessert. Nothing crazy special, it was just the right amount of sweet, a mix of different flavors and perfect portion. Happy it could be made vegan. I liked it, would definitely go back to have it again😄

Traditional sweet soup veganised - Edit
The owner omits condensed milk so that a number of her sweet soup bowls are vegan. I highly recommend the durian lover bowl (if durian is your jam). If not, the traditional bowl is a good option. I’ve never had so many textures and flavours in one bowl. Delish! And so cheap!

So good! - Edit
At first I was a bit sceptic, because it looks different from what I normally call a dessert. It is SO GOOD! I came here twice. Nice staff and nice place as well.

Yum - Edit
I had the traditional bowl as per the owners recommendation. It was easy to get across that I wanted it vegan. The bowl came with bits of I think pandan and beetroot tapioca jelly, red beans, mung beans. I think she put some sweet banana in too. All covered in a sweet coconut milk. I'd have tried the durian one too if there wasn't a queue of people waiting to be served.

Bowl of traditional dessert - Edit
It was my first traditional dessert in Vietnam and I really liked it. I don't know how to describe it but the vegan milk tasted kind of like milk when cereal was swimming in there for a certain amount of time. I had the sweet banana one and it was delicious. Staff speaks English so you can tell them if you want your dish vegan.

Traditional sweets - Edit
English description, even the young lady speaks enough to explain a little. Perfect place to try those traditional sweets, since you can be sure that she understands vegan and you must not be scared to get condensed milk or something else in your bowl. Yummy

You can ask for coconut milk instead of dairy and she gave me some extra ice in case it’s too sweet because I asked for less sugar

We stopped here a couple of times for a cheap and tasty sweet treat. Spoken English is very limited, but the English menu is very clear and the owner has a large print menu where she asks you to point to options such as “no milk” and “no condensed milk”, making it easy for vegans.

Delicious traditional Vietnamese dessert! - Edit
Little bowl is one of the best dessert places I have ever been to! They have many options (not all are vegan tho!) and most are within 20-30k range, so very very cheap. The portions are rather small, but that is not necessarily a bad thing as you can just try more than one dessert😄
Read moreThe lady spoke very good English and the menu is in English as well and all ingredients are listed there so you can check whether stuff is vegan or not.
Definitely worth checking out when in Hanoi!

Not accomodating - Edit
Went to the store this evening and requested the traditional mixed bowl with coconut milk and was told "no, no coconut milk" by the woman, and she pointed at another bowl on the menu. Thought perhaps there was some language confusion so I pointed at the "no cow's milk" phrase on the menu and also put "coconut milk" into Google translate to show her and said I was vegan. She just shook her head, pulled a face, and said no. My partner and I got up and left, not knowing what else to do and feeling very confused. Not sure if she was saying that the bowl I'd ordered wasn't good with coconut milk but I'd seen other photos on here from vegans with the same bowl with coconut milk and also just... wanted what I'd ordered? Really really disappointed.
