Veg Delights Await in Kuching! - Edit
An outstanding restaurant with an impressive array of veg options, featuring a well-labeled menu with over 10 delightful choices. The food is exceptionally tasty, complemented by a pleasant ambiance and friendly staff. Membership perks might include discounts, so it's advisable to inquire with the staff. I'll certainly return if I find myself in Kuching again. While it's not entirely vegetarian, the experience deserves a solid 5/5.

Good food, great service - Edit
Great service and atmosphere - they mainly serve omnivorous meals but have a good variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Food wasn't spectacular but definitely tasted good. Their tea offerings, however, are amazing.

Lots of vegetarian choices - Edit
Many veggie choices, not clear if they are vegan as well. Prices are a little higher for Kuching standards and the portions are also not too big. Almost all dishes have veggie meat in it.

Delicious but veg menu is smaller than it seems - Edit
There is a two page veg menu which actually consists of 2 vegan options and one egg based option. The pictures are misleading. There is a curry tonkatsu type dish and a soupy veggie dish. The options that seem like different items are just how spicy the noodles are. You also get to select the type of noodle. The type a is fantastic, and the spicy sauce is delicious, which is why the rating is so high. It's not the cheapest, but tastes great.

Their spicy noodles are amazing, one of the best things I ate in Malaysia, after having them on one day, I came back the next day for more. They also have really nice prices and the interior is cool, as is the service, highly recommend !

Don’t go here if you’re on a diet! Carbelicious. A friend and I feasted here one night and had to come back. Irresistible dumplings and cool atmosphere on a cool street decorated with red lanterns.

Vegan options but not very clear - Edit
There are about 3-4 vegan options in Vegetarian section of their menu - noodles with 'Veg meat' - seitan. These noodles are basic noodles and seitan on the top. I think the portion was relatively small and I still felt hungry. The service forgot about an order for my friend so we had to remind them (when you order food, you write it down so there's no excuse to forget to bring any item on the menu).
Read moreThe restaurant has a WiFi but if you ask for password, they give you one that doesn't work.
We asked 2-3 members of staff for password and they gave us the same one that didn't work.
To conclude, it's good that we found a place with vegan option.
Pros: Nice interior, Good options for friends
Cons: Slow service, Not particularly outstanding but ok

We ate here twice during our stay in Kuching as our hotel was right around the corner. The noodles are fresh and spongy, perfect and yummy. You can adjust the spicy levels to taste. The vegetarian options are clearly labelled and most were vegan.

Quick service! - Edit
The food is realy good. Vegetarian options are listed on 2 separate pages of the menu. You can select type of noodles and level of spiceness🌶️ - this is awesome!
Read moreEverything is delicious and fresh.
However, the shining point of visiting this place is the ordering process. You are served by a waiter but you write down your order on a prepared sheet and call when ready. It makes it cristal clear. You pay as you receive your order. You also ring a bell whenever you are ready - with your order or if you need any further assistance. This is perfect, as you limit your visit to desired time without sitting and looking around, hopin go to get waiters attention... Waiting for the bill... Waiting for change... Here it is just pure efficiency!
Pros: Ordering process, Clear menu, Can choose how spicy you want your meals

I love this place - Edit
I have been to this restaurant at least seven times now. I just love it. The Aunty who works here is absolutely lovely, remembered us each time we visited.
Read moreThere is a vegetarian section on the menu, along with pictures of the food. I really love the "veg chicken chop with curry sauce". It's definitely the best vegan food on the menu. Eventually i didn't even need to order the food specifically, i would just ask for my usual.
I have since heard that they have moved location, but i'm not exactly sure where as i'm no longer living in Kuching.
Pros: Delicious food, Clear vegetarian section, Lovely staff
Cons: Serves meat , Could be more vegetarian options, Not cheap compared to street food

They have moved to Padungan, a larger location. Still have the full vegetarian menu available.

Chinese restaurant with nice atmosphere and some vegetarian options. Staff will assist with what is vegan. Flavour is good, but nothing special. A little on the expensive side too, but does the trick when you're in need of vegan food and can't find anywhere else to dine.

maximum. grease. overload! - Edit
We ordered the veg dumplings, veg pancake, the sha cha mushroom noodles, steamed bokchoi and drinks. Flavor was so so, but the worst part was that the food was drenched in oil. I could not finish the bokchoi, one of my favorite vegetables. The noodle dish had no mushrooms, just fake meat and... you guessed it - lots of oil.
Read moreThere is a separate category on their menu for vegetables but it says in brackets 'non vegetarian'. The server explained that they use chicken broth but was okay with using soy sauce instead upon my request. Options are limited, would not say that it's vegan friendly.
Pros: server spoke English, willing to make changes to the food
Cons: too oily, taste could be improved greatly, not cheap compared to other local places

very limited choices - Edit
Went there for dinner tonight as it was the closest one to where we were staying (Grand Margarita Hotel). Found the vegan choices to be very limited. 9 menu items listed however 6 of them are mushroom dishes so they all seemed to be the same dish. The waitress advised that all other dishes (even marked as vegetarian) had egg, or I think that's what she said - English wasn't too good.

Very Delicious And Friendly - Edit
A welcoming restaurant/tea shop. Helpful friendly staff and a great menu. Lots of vegetarian options on two clear pages. Ate here twice, they specialize in spicy noodles but their veg dumplings are some of the best I've ever eaten. The veg 'meat' Sha Cha mushroom noodle dish was also excellent. The veg meat spicy noodles really are super spicy. Mock meat and good quality noodles. I really like this place. Menu can be checked on their website: lifecafe.my
