Healthy and delicious

Nice place with delicious food. Choice of buffet or a la carte. We ate from the buffet and it was really good. But some dishes were not warm anymore (eg. the Pizza) and it was a little bit to expensive (2,9€/100gr, you pay even for bread). Nevertheless we would recommend the place.

Pros: All vegan, Choice of buffet or a la carte

Cons: Pizza from the buffet was not warm

Great vegan restaurant in the heart of Volterra!

Definitely recommend this place. Located in the center of Volterra, this restaurant is very well kept with a glass floor displaying some archaeological ruins. The owner, who's vegan, was very helpful in explaining the whole process of weighing the buffet food you select. The buffet food was delicious with a variety of options like couscous, pasta, rice and beans, pizza, potato salads, soup, and a variety of hummus. You also have the option of ordering from the menu a la carte. I was so satisfied with the buffet dinner that I came back the next day for lunch and ordered their gnocchi off the menu. Overall very pleased with this restaurant. Gets very busy on a Sunday night.

Pros: Food is very tasty, Located in the center of Volterra, Friendly owner and staff

Cons: None

Delicious vegan food in nice atmosphere

We found this restaurant because of the app. When we arrived around 6-7 p.m. Volterra wasn‘t too crowded and we were the first guests to sit down. The terrace is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy your dinner. You can choose between the buffet (2,90 Euro per hg / 100 g) or à la carte options. The restaurant is all vegan, but they don‘t brag about it. Actually, there is only one small sentence on the menu that tells that the food is all vegan. The staff and the owner (or is it the manager, i‘m not sure) are very friendly and welcoming. The owner was really excited that we showed interest in the history of the place and enjoyed the vegan dishes. He was also very helpful with the weighing etc. We had two glasses of the white house wine, it was really delicious and not to dry. Because of the buffet we could try several dishes. We really liked the pizza with almond cream and basil pesto on top and the lentils with potatoes on top. We paid 66 Euro (2 glasses of the house wine, one bottle of natural water, one espresso and one soy cappuccino, and each of us went 2-3 times to the buffet). But you can keep track of the end price because of the table card. We even went a second time to the restaurant two days later (same dishes for the buffet) and got a little discount. All in all we can really recommend eating there.

Pros: Buffet with several delicious options, Friendly owner (?) and staff , Delicious house wine (white)

Cons: A little less expensive and it’d be even better

A special find Volterra

Wow came upon Life Bistrot quite by accident. What great luck. The owner engaged us with a great story about what he is trying to do and his decision to open a vegan restaurant in Italy. It was a unique experience in how they are set up and the food was so good. The group of salads were fresh and delicious. The hummus selection was interesting and very tasty. The life pizza with almond cream as the substitute for cheese was out of this world.

Pros: Staff - very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, The food!!!, The archeological display beneath the glass floor

Cons: none
