Amazing dining experience

Very difficult to decide what to eat here as it all looked amazing on the menu and on other guest's tables. Delicious food, certainly the best fine-dining experience I've had since becoming vegan. The waiter was very passionate about the food and the experience and was more than accommodating to all of our questions and requests. Excellent experience overall, if you're in the area you should definitely plan a day to Volterra (beautiful hilltop town) and eat here.

One thing to note is they no longer seem to be doing the pay-by-weight buffet due to lingering Covid restrictions, it is for now a standardised menu.

Pros: Fully plant-based menu, Passionate staff, Delicious food

Cons: Expensive but it's fine dining so still worth it

Beautiful setting

Beautiful setting, the floor is covered in glass with views of the medieval pavement below, we sat outside in the lovely quiet cobbled street. We both had the pizza which was great.

Pros: Beautiful setting , All vegan

High quality food

Nice restaurant in centre of Volterra. Enthusiastic and helpful staff. We had a 3 course meal that was of very
high quality. Veggies and oil from organic local farms. Would definitely recommend going there when in the area. But check ahead since they are not open for dinner every night due to lack of guests in corona time.

Pros: High quality, Friendly staff

Cons: Not all nights open

Great food

One of the very few Restaurants in Italy where we didn't have to check all menu items as everything was vegan. Everything tasted very good, the waiter explained the whole menu to us and the menu sounded quite creative. It felt a bit like vegan fine dining. The risotto needed a little more pepper or spices, but it was tasty anyway. Great homemade gnocchi!

Pros: Really high quality ingredients, Creative menu, Great service

Cons: Maybe a little expensive for the portion size

Ottimo!

Pros: All vegan! , Low price , High quality ingredients

Consigliato assolutamente.

Pros: Completamente vegano, Prezzi, Cordialità del gestore

Food cooked love

Food was delicious, fresh and tasty. If you get the chance to speak with the owner you understand hiw passionate he is about the quality of the ingredients. Unfortunately due to Covid rules the buffet is not available at the moment. Only a la carte. Still a place not to be missed.

Lunch in Volterra

Totally fab place. Great menu or buffet (by weight) which we went for. Everything on offer was so delicious, nothing left on our plates let’s say. You can go up for seconds and keep weighing your plate which gets added to your bill with ease. Service was great, staff very helpful, welcoming and spoke very good English. The setting is beautiful, located down a picturesque old street. Built on a historic site too, dating back BC, which is encased in a glass floor underfoot.

Pros: Great price, Food - lovely choice , Staff were great

Delicious food, very small portions

The food was really good but the portions were very very small
We loved gnocchi but I still can't understand why I got chopped nectarine in Indian sauce as a "fresh vegetable tartar", it was nice though but not really what I expected
The location is really cool, they have a glass floor with ancient ruins

Vegan-tastic

The only ALL vegan restaurant currently in Volterra according to Happy Cow and well worth a visit and for GF vegans.

A good range of healthy plant based options - a la carte and buffet options available simultaneously. Reasonably priced. Staff super friendly.

Pros
- good for GF vegans
- seasonable menu inc interesting local items
- off the beaten track but just 😎
- buffet options Inc vegan pizza so good for smaller kids
- situated on an archeological site which is visible through glass floor

Cons
- your missing out if you don't go!

Great place for Vegans!

Very well located, very friendly and helpful staff and a good choice of interesting vegan dishes. I fully agree with the positive comments made by other reviewers. It’s all vegan with a buffet and à la carte and you can combine the two. Plenty of seating outside. Plus....there are some very interesting archeological remains under the glass floor inside the restaurant.

Pros: Lot’s of vegan options , Friendly staff, Very central

Cons: None

If you love quality plant-based, Italian, seasonal and organic food. I was delighted with every dish, a peas soup, spaghetti with celery pesto and a carot cake with amond cream and berries

All-vegan buffet in an interesting archeological site

Great plant-based restaurant and very unique. We went for lunch and you could choose either the buffet (pay by weight) or from the regular menu. Pizza with cashew cheese, rice dishes, potatoes, lentils, desserts, great wine list. It is in a very interesting archeological area that was discovered when they were renovating the restaurant. Inside the restaurant you can see an Etruscan city wall, part of the ancient Etruscan Via Porta all’Arco, and a seven-meter-deep Etruscan well. Great vegan Tuscan experience.

Pros: All vegan, Interesting archeological site, Wine list
