The Hungarian Bakery is my Favorite!!

The Hungarian Bakery has baked sweet breads that are vegan without the toppings, and they offered a vegan apple streussel option on their menu when I just visited! I try and stop here to support their business when I am in the area. It is a delicious and unique vegan treat. Definitely recommend!

Fun Place

There were a lot of vegan options! However, I decided to try White Rice SD for dinner. The mushroom and tofu sisig was absolutely delicious. The garlic fried rice was super garlicky (in the best way), and the mushroom/tofu mixture was super flavorful. For dessert, my boyfriend and I split sesame balls from Mama Made Thai and vegan chocolate gelato from Le Parfait Paris. The sesame balls were average (but Mama Made Thai had multiple entrees that looked good), and the gelato was one of the better vegan gelatos I have had in San Diego. I am looking forward to trying other options in the future, and the market is a fun place to grab a meal.

Takes time to find all the vegan options

This is by far the best food court I've ever experienced because all of the vendors are local businesses rather than national chains. However, the many eateries can seem overwhelming if you haven't done your homework ahead of time to find the vegan options.

Cane Patch Kitchen - Jackfruit Po' Boy wasn't that good. The sauce overpowers the jackfruit. Next time, I'll try their Soy Sausage Po' Boy.

Le Parfait Paris - Vegan Chocolate Gelato was good but not great.

Next on my wishlist:

- Weapon Ramen: Plant Based
- Tortas el Chapulin: Pambazo Torta
- White Rice: Mushroom + Tofu Sisig
- Bopjo: Burrito: Sesame Organic Tofu
- Bao Bar: Vegetable Bun, Taro Custard Bun

At Bao Bar I was told today that all buns contain egg. The only thing they confirmed vegan was the fresh spring roll 😕
