Vegan breakfast

Me and my family have been coming here for a vegan breakfast for years. Love it here. Great food used. The bread is really nice, tofu scramble also, fried potatoes and Linda McCartney sausages. Would recommend 100%

Nice Summer time cafe.

pretty secret garden at the back. Nice selection of food and really like the chunky chips & Assam tea, also nice pancakes.

Pros: Good Vegan options, Relaxing garden at back

Really poor service, not sure why people rate it

Me and my partner popped in with the intention of getting some food on our way to the rowheath pavillion down the road. We started with a couple of drinks whilst we looked at the menu, the food didn't look great but acceptable. It had some vegan options but was mainly burgers or meat dishes with meat omitted. I can live with that when out and about but what put us off eating was the owner. She was incredibly rude and quite frankly miserable. When I went in to grab a menu I thought it was just me and maybe I was misinterpreting the situation, but then a group of Chinese tourists showed up and she treated them like absolute dirt. The way she interaced with them was shocking... Pretending she couldn't hear them, storming off because they weren't quick enough ordering and then insisting that they couldn't sit outside anymore and they could only have takeaway. I asked the guy at the table next to me (who only had a cold drink) if she was always like this and he said 'yeah she's miserable but the other staff are okay'. I guess the pllace has a following because people live near and can tolerate the owners odd behaviour. I won't be returning. My advice, if you are in Bournville, go to any of the other cafes in the village. They're nicer, cleaner, the food is better and you don't have to worry about the owners mood.

Pros: It has a pretty garden

Cons: The owner is rude and possibly a bit xenophobic, Poor selection of vegan options, No actual deli

That lady’s apparently left now if you wanted to go again! Haha
