The only place where we could find vegan flammekueche - Edit
The waiter was nice, the salted flammekueche was very tasty but way not filled enough. I could have eaten another one easily. And though that was nice to get to eat a sugared flammekueche too, I didn't really like it, it was cloying.

This was a really nice little place for Tarte flambée last summer but it's since changed. It's now a pizza place which offers Tarte flambée, but where you used to be able to select the toppings it's now fixed and the vegan cream is not as good.

NOTE: it seemed as though it was new so this may improve but it seemed as though the things Les aflamme did well (bases prepared, good ingredients, good selection) have not been adopted by the new owner

I finally tried the vegan tarte flambée! After one year around the world, I was really happy to eat one of my favorite alsatian specialty. It's a small place in the popular "Grand Rue" with a friendly staff.

As good as the typical ones, they serve Flammenkuche with soya yoghurt, fried tofu, onions 5 ingredients of your choice.

Un endroit très chaleureux, nous avons été merveilleusement accueillies par le personnel. Les véganes peuvent composer leurs propres flammekueche avec 5 ingrédients au choix, tous plus délicieux les uns que les autres ! Le prix est très abordable. En revanche, la taille médium ne suffit pas pour les grosses faims. Je recommande particulièrement les flammekueches sucrées, notamment la combinaison pomme-sirop d'érable-spéculoos qui est délicieuse ! Le prix est raisonnable et on peut y aller en tant que vegan en toute confiance : par exemple, le cuisinier utilise des cuillères différentes pour la crème vegan et non vegan.
Read moreLe seul bémol ne vient pas du restaurant mais des clients présents au moment où nous y étions, qui se sont sentis obligés de nous traiter mon amie et moi d' "extrémistes" car nous commandons de la nourriture vegan et de fixer nos plats qui arrivaient avec un air dédaigneux, ce qui était très oppressant. Je félicite la réaction du serveur qui les a remis à leur place en leur proposant, pour rire, de remplacer leurs commandes par des tartes flambées vegan.
