Amazing Place - Edit
When we stayed in Essaouira this summer, we went to this place twice, because we really loved the food! The chef is super nice and really relaxed, he was the only person working the restaurant and the dishes he cooked for us were everything we wanted :)
Read moreAlso the place is in a really nice spot in Essaouira, so sitzing outside and taking in the athmosphere was the just amazing.

Le Corail was hands down the best restaurant we have been to in Morocco. excellent food, good service, and of course, all vegan!
Read moreWe had a spring roll dish and a lentil tajine, both were so good, filled with classic Moroccan flavours to the max. Oh so satisfying. It was also some of the fastest service we’ve had, I’m pretty sure it was just one guy running the show feeding like 10 people and taking their orders by himself. Seriously impressive stuff.
Their prices were a little more expensive than similar non vegan restaurants in the area, but that did not matter, it was well worth it.

Pros: Delicious food, Great service , All vegan

Ridiculous menu and an insane amount of oil - Edit
I got too excited at the prospect of an all vegan eatery in our few hours in Essaouira and dragged my partner here.
Read moreShe wasn’t feeling great so opted for spaghetti, I was pretty hungry so ordered the aubergine salad and a spinach and artichoke filo pastry.
We got completely overwhelmed with the menu which for some ridiculous reason has over FIFTY tagine options and an equally crazy amount of juice options. Advice to the owners: Cut this down by at least 90%. You want everyone to have all the juice options? Just list the fruits and set a price for singular fruit juices and a slightly higher price for mixing the options. With the tagine, you could list 5 and us vegans would still be over the moon. What does an “olive tagine” even entail?!
I ordered a fresh tea which was incredible and my partner ordered a Coke Zero which was warm so she sent it back and didn’t drink.
The aubergine salad was a warm dish which I wasn’t expecting but the flavours were great and the texture of the dish eaten with bread was very enjoyable.
My partners spaghetti was served with a watery curry sauce and green veggies which was bizarre and be frank, awful. My filo pastry was so large and so oily that even after sitting it on my napkin I couldn’t manage more than half of it. The artichoke was vinegary and it seemed to be topped with soy sauce which for an African country seemed very odd. It came served with rice which was totally unnecessary especially considering the size.
There are plenty of authentic Moroccan places around the Medina where you can just order yourself a vegetarian tagine. I’m absolutely mind blown that this place has so many 5 star ratings.
The decor inside and out is that of a year 7 art project for troubled teens and may induce a seizure.
Pros: Flavourful aubergine salad, Delicious Moroccan mint tea
Cons: Mega greasy, Absolutely bizarre decor, Overwhelming and confusing menu

Such a joyful find! - Edit
Lovely restaurant in a pleasant square, amazing choice, beautiful flavour and presentation and wonderful service! Traditional Moroccan food and also a variety of other dishes as well, such as filo pastry and spring rolls. Everything is vegan! Non-vegan friend loved it too. Very fresh food!

Tasty vegan food in Morocco, finally! - Edit
On the 9th day of my tour in Morocco I finally got to eat tasty & cheap food. I tried the lentil tagine & veggie pastilla and it was delicious. Returned the next day for falafels & spring rolls, delicious again. Don't miss out on this place if you are in Essaouira!

Lovely spot and owner - Edit
Solo owner cooking and managing the place, he’s very sweet. The food is great, first time I found a vegan pastilla in Morocco. Only a few tables but is worth the wait. Incredible huge menu and combination of juices.

Tasty Tagines - Edit
Plenty to choose from - refreshing to see so many vegan tagines on the menu. The chickpea and veg tagine and the mushroom, artichoke and aubergine tagine were fresh and seasoned beautifully. The juices are good and the location is nice. I would recommend.

What a treat - Edit
Confirmed all vegan. They only speak French but it’s not a problem. The filó pastry with pumpkin, spinach and red pepper was delicious, served with rice and green beans on the side. A bit greasy, but nothing compared to some of the tagines I’ve had in Morocco. There wasn’t really and spinach but it was very good anyway. Would definitely return!

Nice option in Essaouira - Edit
Went here when we found the vegan place across from it to be closed. They advertise some combo specials outside and have a vegan section of the menu. Food was good and we were able to share a vegan pastilla, 2 salads and 2 juices for 100dirham. We paid the same at the vegan place and got way more food there, but this place is a good plan B.

Funky looking little place in the corner of a quiet square. Large menu but I just had the daily special combo of a pastilla( stuffed with lentils etc) followed by a pumpkin tagline. Good prices! #Veganuary

If this isn’t all vegan, it’s close. Food was really good and the owner does everything himself. Great prices and be ready for two pages of fresh juices to choose from too!

We ate here for lunch and it was very good and inexpensive. It was just the owner working and he was super kind. Tajine was delicious and so was the fresh juice! One of the few veg places in Essaouira.

Charming little place with an incredible amount of options! After 10 days in Morocco, this was the best and most varied vegan menu I'd seen. Excellent value with generous portions. Seemed like a 1-person operation back in the kitchen with everything freshly made to order. I went with 3 meat eaters and they loved it too!

Sweet local restaurant - Edit
We loved the avocado salad, juices and also the potato soya spinach burger (it‘s a homemade patty with rice on the side, not an actual burger with bread). The chickpea, mushroom tajine was a tad monotonous (literally only chickpeas and mushrooms in it) but overall it was a nice place with a very friendly owner!

Fresh and tasty lunch - Edit
Location is in a quaint square with other restaurants, but secluded and quiet. Tariq made us a nice hot, fresh lunch including vegetable pastille, cabbage and mushroom spring rolls, and potato soya spinach veggie burger. Service was friendly and attentive, and the food was a welcome treat after traveling all morning. Highly recommend if you are in Essaouria!

it is so refreshing to being able to choose between 51 different vegetarian tajines and knowing that it‘s not just a regular tajine where they removed the meat - as it often happens in other restaurants.
