Stopped here for a bite, coffee (latte) was lovely, there wasn't a great deal to choose from, so we opted for the Mango Tango, sourbread with mango, avocado and hummus. It was really nice, but also quite pricey for what you got
Read moreI have to grumble about the service, The staff were nice enough, but they were over asking you what you wanted within a minute of you sitting down. Ok I guess if you're a regular, but we hadn't even had time to look at the menu, let alone see what was vegan and also try to understand Dutch as there was nothing available in English.
Anyway, long story short, we asked if we could have a couple of minutes to choose, then the girl disappeared and didn't come back. Finally after a bit of a wait, we managed to order from another staff member.
Fresh and tasty for a quick bite but can't say it was particularly special either.

Prima burger (flippin good burger is vegan te bestellen), lekkere frites. Niet heel speciaal, maar lekker voor een snelle lunch. Service is goed en snel. Leuke locatie.
Read more‘Nadeel’ aan de vegan burger vond ik dat het de vega burger - ingrediënten was. Niet een burger die samengesteld was om het beste in een vegan burger naar boven te halen. Broodje was anders dan ik gewend ben bij burgers, maar dit was juist wel lekker!

A lovely, happy place. It made me smile. Some vegan options on the menu. Too bad we were there on a day they had technical difficulties. But we could order a delicious spinach soup. Definitely going back another day.

Leuke plek met een gezellig interieur. Ze hebben een uitgebreide speelhoek voor kinderen en een terras aan de winkelstraat. Vriendelijke bediening en originele menukaart. Redelijk veel opties voor veganisten. Het broodje humus met paddenstoelen was heerlijk.

The vegan kapsalon was very tasty. The banana pistachio pastry was incredibly delicious!! It’s really lovely to see a menu which offers oat milk, soy milk etc. as an option for your coffee. Some of the cons: there is a big drawing on the wall of a cow labeled with which part of the meat is called which (a bit disturbing for a restaurant serving a lot of vegetarian/ vegan options). And the staff was a bit unprofessional af times: gossiping about other colleagues, throwing comments around about customers.

I was really excited by the menu which includes vegan pancakes and vegan kapsalon but it was so disappointing. The pancakes were like a sort of coconut-oat porridge that had been formed into a lump shape. The "kapsalon" was a bowl of ok sweet potato fries with unshredded jackfruit chunks and weird stuff like asparagus?? My chai latte was overly sweet and cold. My vegetarian friend had the hazelnut soup, which was also not good. Could recommend this place for a cold drink only, like a nice homemade lemonade on a hot day! For food: hard pass

Vegan means possible to veganize - Edit
I was happy to have a new restaurant with labeled vegan options in Leeuwarden, but the server told us that the soup that was marked vegan was not vegan by default, we had to specifically say we wanted it vegan so that they could modify it. That is of course not expected when food is marked vegan.
