Not impressed by the cake offer - Edit
I went there to grab a cake but the only ones they had were banana bread and apple crumble-so honestly nothing special and just the two standard boring options cafés usually come up with when it comes to vegan cakes :(
Read moreThe interior is nice though so hopefully in the future the have a more appealing offer that I can enjoy there.

Great coffee - Edit
I really like the coffee here. The place has a nice and cosy ambient. The vegan cake was so so.

The best cake shop in town - Edit
The "lava" in the name is actually inspired by Pixar’s short film, "Lava", referring to the volcanic origins of both Hawaii and Gran Canaria. The interpolating Spanish "y" is just because the ampersand doesn't exist in Spanish! The alliteration between “lava” and “love” is not accidental in the film, and nor is it in the café name.
Read moreA cosy, family-friendly café, hidden in a corner of hip and trendy Guanarteme, with décor reminding us of the influences from far and wide, and as soon as you stepped into the doors, you can feel the love oozing from the walls onto the pastries on the counter and the cakes on the display cabinet. Appropriate for vegans, it also provides gluten-free, ecological products, and the cakes surprise the visitor with their unusual ingredients, colours and presentation, such as turmeric, spinach and beetroot, with edible flowers included!
I had the spinach cake (on one visit) and it was out of the world – no taste of spinach at all! It’s the sort of place that makes you want to go back time and again, to try all their varieties (and there’s always something new!) except that most of us will be watching our waistline!
Oh, and it's not only sweets that they serve. They also do an interesting selection of sandwiches and open sandwiches.
Pros: Excellent cakes, sandwiches, etc., Service with love, Decor and presentation are also excellent.
Cons: If only it were a little bigger? ;-)

Fantastic wee café - Edit
The waitress was really friendly and was able to explain what was suitable for vegans. There was a good choice of both sweet and savoury food. I went for a chai latte and a banoffee cake, both were delicious! I wish I'd found this café at the start of my holiday!

Pros: Lots of vegan options + good prices, Comfortable seating & atmosphere, Friendly staff
