Amazing Helva! - Edit
I came here because of Happy Cow and it looks like a great place. The lady was really kind and spoke great English, offering us free samples and explaining what everything was.
Read moreI tried some helva because I hadn’t had it before. It was a bit expensive, but I went for it after seeing the ‘vegan’ label. I imagine it’s much cheaper outside of the touristy areas.
It tastes amazing by the way!

Very cool little shop - Edit
In the old town, next to the “bazaar” gate. Some of the halva is clearly labelled vegan and other treats are not, but the shop keepers are happy to go through the ingredients for you and translate if you need. A perfect stop for picking up local treats as gifts or souvenirs.
