Not good - Edit
Very disappointing meal. I used to enjoy las iguanas a while back in Southbank but this was so much worse, not sure if that's the problem with the chain or just the O2 branch.
Read moreThe value for money was very poor. We had mocqueca which has always been their best vegan option in my opinion, but it's now quite expensive and the portion was about half what it used to be. It's a main but most people wouldn't get full on it, also it used to come as rice, curry and some extras separately but now it's on one smaller plate just rice and the sauce, feels like a poor imitation of the old dish.
We also had nachos, which cost almost £10, it's a medium size plate but the amount of toppings is barely enough for 1/4 of the nachos, tiny amount of guacamole and salsa, nothing instead of sour cream. I bought extra guac and it was again tiny and not tasty, looked and tasted different to the one we got initially.
Finally, las iguanas is confused about what "plant based" means, in the menu it says 'our plant based dishes are made out of vegan ingredients but fried with meat products '. I asked for the plant based version of the vegetarian burger as it's in the menu, the waitress said that the burger has 'meat derivatives such as milk', I explained that it's not what plant based means. When I tried to understand what the plant based version of the burger is she said it's just the patty that's vegan and 'ask for plant based' means she can tell me that (IE tell me which part is plant based not actually allow me to order a pb version). Looking at the restaurant menu online that option is also confusingly explained so I don't think their staff understand it themselves.
Overall a disappointing meal and a poor value for money.
Pros: Some vegan options, Nice decor (but very loud music)
Cons: Expensive and small portions, Not understanding what plant based means, Terrible nachos, with tiny amounts of toppings

Lovely vegan options! - Edit
Good vegan options here with really tasty side dishes. Alcoholic and virgin cocktails. Really nice food and staff.
