Vegan options and Latino vibes - Edit
Great location with a number of vegan options (try the Palmiro current, it is amazing!). They offer a number of discounts, including 2for1 cocktails and 20% blue light card discounts!

Good food - Edit
Had a lovely time here. We enjoyed the Moqueca de Palmitos and Jackfruit curry, plus the all-day happy hour cocktails and mocktails.

A great deception - Edit
I decided to have dinner at Las Iguanas in Southbank because the location is great and they offer a veggie/vegan menu. However, I had the feeling that they are not used to prepare vegan food. I asked for a moqueca de palmitos and it was a deception. The portion was poor, only few pieces of palms and it came very spicy, even though I had asked for NO chilli on the meal. The food doesn't worth the price they ask for, neither in quality nor in quantity. I had already tried vegan moqueca before and the Las Iguanas one needs to be improved. It is a pity because the place is cool with latin vibes!

Decent - Edit
Went here with my girlfriend as they had a 2-4-1 Veganuary offer. The restaurant is really colourful and it's a cool venue sitting under a railway arch. As for the food, for our mains we got the Sweet Potato Chilli Burrito and the Bahian Jackfruit Curry. The first point of note is that the portions aren't very big. They're not overly small, but for £14 a portion at full price, pretty underwhelming. The food itself was tasty, especially the jackfruit curry, which had a really nice flavour to it, but again not £14 tasty. For dessert we had their veganuary special Oggs Sticky Toffee pudding. Again, it was good, but a bit underwhelming. Overall it was a decent meal out for the price, but I wouldn't come back here at full price. Also they don't have a separate vegan menu, and the Vegan options do take some searching, so I'd recommend looking at the menu on your phone as there's a vegan filter on the website.

Was much better before - Edit
We’ve been eating here for years. Yes, they have clearly marked vegan options. But the quality of food has gone down drastically. Almost like eating at McDonald’s. They forgot my cashew cheese for my burrito. The side salad was unedible even though I pointed it out they still charge me. The amount of salsa and guacamole you get for the appetizer is about a tablespoons worth. I will be posting a photo

Decent meal - Edit
Good meal and was happy with it. I wouldn't go as far as saying it is bland but it lacked any kick or real spice to it. Decent option when out with non vegan friends.

Good vegan fajitas - Edit
I wanted the quinoa avo bowl, but they didn't have quinoa at the time. Fajitas were good, mushroom based, for about 14£. Quality was good but maybe a bit expensive. I would go again if going with someone but not alone if I can choose

I love this place! - Edit
A colourful place for colourful eating. Affordable, latin food. And nice drinks both with and without alcohol. They often offer 2 for the price of 1 for drinks.

Really poor - Edit
Despite the separate menu with quite a few vegan choices, the food itself is a real disappointment. My vegan chilli was just butternut squash in a tinned tomato sauce. The sweet potato, chickpeas and pickled shredded onion were all missing. There was also sour cream :-/ Assembly line cooking with no love and certainly no authenticity. We won’t be going back in a hurry, especially with other chains that do a decent vegan choice and the independent food stalls just around the corner.

Not the best in the chain - Edit
Have been to many different ones in the Las Iguanas chain, and this one isn’t my favourite, but the food is just as good. The mushroom fajitas are really good - just make sure to ask for them to switch the sour cream for something vegan. I personally find this particular branch to be especially noisy. It’s under a train tracks so I think they purposely turn the music up to disguise the noise. Definitely not the best place for a quiet meal but if you’re on the south bank and want somewhere a bit lively then it’s a nice place imo. Cocktails are also pretty good and aren’t crazy prices for London.

Friendly Latin American restaurant - Edit
I really liked the atmosphere! The restaurant is rather big but it did not feel like it. The staff was friendly and the service was good.
Read moreThere was a separate Latin American menu for veg and vegan options, vegan options clearly marked. I had tasty portobello mushroom fajitas which I was very happy with.
However, to develop the menu, it would be easy to include more vegan than veg options and more importantly, to include more protein in the vegan options. My dining company had the spicy veggie chili that had chick peas here and there. I would have loved to have black beans in my fajitas.
Pros: Tasty food, Separate menu for veg and vegan options, Friendly service
Cons: Vegan options could have more protein

nice - Edit
Service was a little slow, by the food was very good. My husband got the curry-type dish and I got the mushroom fajitas. We were given a veg menu with the vegan options marked. My only complaint about the food is that it was a little salty. Still, very tasty!

nice place, good service and they have a vegan menu card and know what vegan food is! - Edit
Very nice place, I enjoyed it a lot. I had the 3 mushrooms tortilla and it was good, there could have been a bit more salsa and guacamole, but that's the only bad thing I can say about the place. Nice staff and good selection AND they have vegan desserts!

Pros: good food , vegan menu, big selection , great service

Great pre-concert meal, and veggie vegan menu - Edit
We were very pleased to see that Las Iguanas had a full veggie-vegan menu so we gave it a try. Nachos very tasty and our mains were excellent - We had the Three Mushroom Fajitas, and the Halloumi skewers - all freshly cooked, excellent flavours and plentiful. Can't really be faulted for a quick pre-concert meal. The service was excellent; friendly and quick - and when we (and several others) asked for the bill it came quickly and the payment cards were all taken efficiently. The only small downside was the soft drinks - so full of ice that the actual drink was maybe a third of a glass.
