I was impressed to find a Green Market open all year with fresh organic vegetables. Local and seasonal produce must not be easy to grow in the Summer. I tried a pineapple that was by farthe best I've ever had, including the Arecibo from Peurto Rico. Overall, it is a must shopping experience on Saturday morning.
I recently moved to Bridges out west of the turnpike in Boynton Beach. Searching for good jucing organics I stumbled across this gem of a market. They are extremely friendly and they're open early on Saturday morning (8:00). It's perfect for me because I'm looking for fresh juicing goodies and I found everything I need. Plus, they have fresh baked goods and eggs.
I stopped by this market after leaving my home in Verona Lakes this Saturday morning. It was early, before 10:00 am. I was surprised at all the organic produce they have and how much had already sold out. This is an early market for sure because the corn and watermelon bins had already been emptied. I like the chickes running around. All the kids just love it.
I found a gem right down the street from Valencia Shores in Lake Worth. They are very helpful people with very good food. Lots of fruits and baked bread too. I wish they had home made ice cream though.
I was visiting my Mother in Lake Worth and she told me about this little chicken and organic produce farm nearby. I come from Miami, where we have some pretty good markets, but this one was truly special. I bought some local organic produce, fresh organic eggs and a freshly baked bobka that was divine. Everyone was extremely friendly and they had figs, grapes, bananas, corn, watermelon, morenga and fresh kale amongst other delicious items. It's well worth the visit.
I just moved to Savannah Estates, located between the thriving cities of Wellington and Boynton Beach. It is a lovely community, however, shopping at Publix isn't my idea of fun. I recently stopped at this little farm and was amazed at the local fair available there. I mostly eat a large portion of organic vegetables each day, but do consume eggs from time to time. I was able to buy almost all my weekly fruit and veggie needs yesterday at their Saturday Market. What amazed me more than anything is that everything is organic! Fresh baked Sourdough Bread, Local Wildflower Honey and fresh Organic Eggs is my idea of a shopping extravaganza...I highly recommend this market!
I recently moved to Villaggio in Lake Worth. I'm a young 55 and eat mostly fruits. This is the time of year when I look for local goodies from nearby farms. I found the Lake Worth Green Market, a hidden little gem, at the nearby chicken farm on Lyons Road. It's just down the street from my new community. I was able to buy local organic fruits: watermelon, blueberries, lychees, pineapple, mangoes and passion fruits. They also had some resh baked Hazlenut & Fig Bobka, which is the best I've ever had.
They sell fresh organic eggs too, but I'm not interested. Organic Mark told me they're increasing the selection every week and the avocadoes will be ready soon. I'm hoping to go back every Saturday to buy more.
I recently visited the little farm store near Villagio in Lake Worth called the Lake Worth Green Market. The people there were very friendly and they had some home-made cheeses and fresh baked organic bread that are super yummy. I don't eat seafood and chicken but they had other organic fruits like lychees, passion fruit, mango and watermelons too. I will be back again next Saturday for sure.
The market is right down the street from my community in Boynton Beach, and I finally had a chance to stop by. What a pleasant surprise. I purchased some fresh corn, lychees and watermelon. I also bought a homemade organic blueberry jam. It was by far the best I've ever had. A farmer named Mark talked with me for quite a while about the farming practices and the current drought conditions. He is very informative. The farm visit was very pleasant and I will be back to try some other items next Saturday.
A free range chicken farm offering local organic fruits and veggies as well as soy free organic eggs. It isn't a huge market, but they had fresh baked gluten-free muffins and a superb ginger peach cobbler. I will frequent this spot on Saturdays and watch them explode!
Mark my words, one day this will be the best market in the entire area. They have cage free chicken and organic eggs, fruits and vegetables. Saturday is the day!
