Great choices for vegans - Edit
Small, friendly restaurant, worth booking in busy seasons but a six person walk up was fine on a November Monday night. Lovely vegan options alongside choices for veggies and non veggies. Best meal of the holiday.

Great pasta - Edit
Best pasta we ate in Venice! We had pasta alla norma and they even had vegan parmesan. Clearly marked vegan options in the menu.

Laguna Libre is Fantastico - Edit
The mango cream salad dressing is da bom! Fresh bread to soak up the dressing is the best we’ve had in Venice. Outstanding vegetarian lasagna and really flavorful eggplant pasta.

Simple but flavoursome - Edit
They have 2 vegan entrees, 2 mains and a dessert (gelato).
Read moreWe got both entrees being an eggplant dish and salad, and both mains being pasta, one with eggplant and whole tomatoes and the other without.
For such simple looking meals, they had a lot of flavour, I was really surprised.
They were really delicious, however expensive considering the simple ingredients.
We paid $91 euro for the 4 dishes plus a beer and a coca cola. The coke was 5 euro.
That said, we were very full by the end, the waiter was very lovely and it is a nice spot on the water.

Vegansk treretters menu - Edit
Et af de få steder i Venedig, hvor vi kunne få en fuld en fuld vegansk treretters menu.

Maden smager godt, men er lidt mere simpel end jeg forventede.

Delicious vegan option - Edit
Venice isn’t exactly the most vegan friendly city, but here the options are clearly labeled. The servers are very kind and helpful. We came back again because it was so good and they welcomed us.

Glad we ate here! - Edit
Ended up trying this place due to La Tecia Vegana being closed for January. I’m glad we did! I think it would be the perfect place to bring a group with vegan and Omni travelers in it. Like the other reviews say, caponatina was great. I got the pasta with tomato sauce and asked for it vegan. The pasta noodles are definitely homemade and they use local and organic ingredients. The ambiance of the place is really inviting, service was great, and the location made it the perfect place to stop at for a nice meal before we had to catch the train out of town. I’m bummed we missed the live music but it was a great evening!
Read moreOnly con was that there wasn’t a ton to choose from but I’m used to that.
Pros: Pasta made in-house , Local and organic ingredients , 10 min walk from train station
Cons: Needs more vegan menu items

Lackluster food, really wanted to like it - Edit
This restaurant was close to where we were staying and after reading the reviews we were excited to try it.
Read moreI was wary as some reviews were not so favourable, but many sung high praise, so we went!
The service was fine, the waitresses were attentive and very friendly. You view the menu on the website reached via QR code, but order via the staff and the vegan options are clear. Initially we were instructed to order via the QR code, however this was not the case there was no ability to do this it is only a menu.
We ordered the set 3 course vegan menu. The first dish was a caponata and greens which was actually lovely. Flavourful enough and the eggplant had great texture. Unfortunately this was the best dish. The main was a chickpea cake that was so dry and hard it was inedible. This came with a tomato sauce which was ok. Served with the same salad paired with the first dish. Thinking that perhaps the a la carte menu was what other reviewers were raving about, I ordered a chicory pasta. Somehow this pasta was both overcooked and undercooked, very oily and under-seasoned. Also couldn't finish this dish. I would be very surprised if this pasta was home/house made or even fresh pasta as claimed, the "sauce" did not cling to the noodle as expected of a fresh pasta.
The staff understand what food is vegan but this knowledge does not extend to their drink selection (wine for example).
The sorbet was fine, they gave us extra because we waited quite a while.
I really really wanted to like this restaurant but it just wasn't it.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Along the canal, Staff friendly
Cons: Poor quality unenjoyable food, Long wait times (in off-season), QR instructions unclear

Absolutely delish! - Edit
The vegan options were clearly marked and the food was really good. Good is organic and they make their own pasta. The dinner ambiance was so romantic along side the canal with all the colorful lights and music! Fantastic and highly recommended!

my daughter threw up after the meal - Edit
we picked vegetarian option, caponatina was awesome, pasta was oversalted with no veggies, asked to replace with veg option pasta, after tiramisu and tea my daughter threw up all over. not sure what exactly was wrong with the food, but something definitely was. she thinks it'd tiramitsu or tea water

Very Tasty 😋 - Edit
They definitely deserve 5 Stars! The food (vegan and non vegan according to my friends) was absolutely delicious and although I'm histamine intolerant and vegan they where able to offer me a full 3 course dinner 😍
Read moreA big plus is also the very nice but subtle jazz music in the dining room and the live music events every Friday in the concert hall (since it's a world jazz club it's mostly jazz)
It's a little bit more expensive but definitely worth it :)

Not great, nice location - Edit
The location at the canal is very nice. However, the vegan main course looked like it was frozen food from the supermarket - it did not taste bad, but not good either and was not worth close to what it cost. The non-vegan options looked better.

Decent place nice atmosphere - Edit
A few vegan options available through a QR code, we had the tomato pasta which was delicious, it was. But being the home-cooks we are we'd have preferred a couple veggies in there too! Also had the sorbets which were nice as we couldn't find any vegan desserts anywhere else (not the ginger sorbet for us) Nice atmosphere with jazz music, often they'll play live but we had bad weather. friendly, home made food and organic too which is nice to find. Clearly labelled vegan menus

Live music by the water - Edit
We managed to stumble in on the evening of a live band performance that the restaurant had arranged. Spent our dinner listening to jazz while having a lovely meal by the water of the Venice channel. The servers spoke excellent English and were both friendly and helpful. Overall kr was a lovely experience.

Best vegan meal we had in Venice - Edit
We definitely recommend coming here. Had a lovely meal right by the Canal Grande with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Pasta was the best we had in Venice all week. The sauces were so packed with flavors, everything composed with such care and most likely lots of love for vegetables.

Best vegan pasta in Venice - Edit
In short: I was in pasta heaven, would always go back whenever I find myself in Venice again. Must try.
Read moreThe menu seems to change from time to time so maybe the past reviewers had bad luck when they visited the restaurant in the past.
As of now they have a vegetable carponatina as a starter, which is kind of a very flavorful mix of veggies and hearty olives and definitely worth a try.
As main dishes we had the two variations of homemade Bigoli, imagine thick Spaghetti with a great consistency.
They were cooked perfectly al dente with one sauce being artichoke and basil and the other an incredibly flavorful and delicious tomato sauce. Hands down, this was the best pasta I’ve ever had.
Yes, you pay a little more than the average Venice price and the drinks are rather expensive, yet most of the wines are organically grown and hence a little pricier.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Pros: Seasonal, locally grown products, Very friendly staff, Flavorful dishes
Cons: Not cheap, but definitely worth the money

Over priced poor food and bad service - Edit
Walk on by... Waiters have no idea what their own menu contains.. Brought us a dessert that tasted like the bottom of a sandy shoe... I had to spit it out... The main meal was poor put together and tasted like a 5 year Olds first attempt at making spaghetti... Risotto was so bad... I would not feed it to a human.... Don't waste your time or money here... There are many other places where food service etc are better.

Beautiful place, but the rest needs improving - Edit
The restaurant is hosted by a beautiful historical building on the Riva di Cannaregio, in an excellent - and very conspicuous - position. This said, I had dinner twice there and I don't think there will be a third. The offer of vegan and vegetarian dishes is not as ample as the owner and staff would like you to believe, although the ingredients are top-quality and mostly local. The staff seems a bit unexperienced when you think that the whole venue intends to present itself as a top-class restaurant, with an eye to sustainability, quality of the ingredients etc.: as a matter of fact, they hardly seem to know what they're doing... Last but not least, prices are quite expensive. Somewhat of a disappointment.

not for vegans - Edit
First off the vibe in this place is quite odd and sad. I ordered the vegan 3 course menu because everything else on the menu that was stated to be vegan wasn't, for example had seafood or cheese. The meal itself was really bland and small and cold and quite expensive. The waiter also gave us a complimentary appetiser to begin with which was cheese even though I told them at the beginning we were vegan. They didn't really have any idea. Do not recommend !!

Great food, fine dining - Edit
I had the 33 Euro Menu Vegano. Really good, innovative cuisine. First course was a rice pancake roll filled with vermicelli and brown lentils. in a lovely ragu with peas and rocket. Main was a lovely vegetable Tajin. The desert was a selection of three sorbets - all good, but the lemon sorbet was to die for. Easily the best I've tasted in 30 years! They threw in some free soup, a traditional Venitian welcome dish with three types of great home made bread ( I make my own, so am choosy)
Read morePros: Excellent food, Three courses will fill you up, Also live music
Cons: Proper dining, so not the cheapest
