Because is on a side street with less toruist but still offers a stunning view of the lake. We enjoyed an incredible sunset after a full day of rain.
They have a vegan menu with 1 starter option, 1 main and 1 second dish 1 desert and several wine options.
If youbare looking for a fancy experience but your are not too demanding on teh valeu for money of your food this is for you.
We personally ordered only teh seitan and were a bit disappointed by the portion and the lack of flavour.
Pros: View, Service, Wine option
Cons: Expensive, Small portions, No flavor

I went here with my non-vegan friends who said it was the best meal they had in Italy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is incredible, this place has the best views in the town.
Read moreThere are a few different vegan appetisers, mains and one dessert. I had the set menu and loved it. They even had a vegan amuse-bouche. The jalapeño bread is really good too.
Book in advance though if you can, all restaurants in Varenna tend to be fully booked if you leave it last minute as the restaurants are small and there aren’t many.
Pros: Several vegan options, Vegan dessert, Views
Cons: A little expensive , Hard to get a table

Best restaurant with vegan options in Varenna - Edit
La Vista has limited vegan options, but the staff is very helpful and will do what’s possible to accomodate any food restrictions (I’m celiac, and they served me gluten free bread and pasta). They have options for appetisers/salad, main course and desert. They also have vegan wine. It’s all indicated in the menu, there are no room for mistakes.
