The restaurant is quite expensive, the portions sizes leave half the plate empty. The food was okay, the seit an had a mouthfeel of gum…, Tiramisu was good but nothing special. All in all way too expensive for what you get

Abbiamo preso varie portate per assaggiare un po' di tutto e ogni cosa è stata veramente eccezionale. Ristorante a prova di onnivoro, paradiso per vegani. Oltre al cibo, anche la gentilezza e l'accoglienza del personale giocano a favore dell'eccellenza di questo luogo, un po' fuori dai circuiti turistici di Venezia ma che merita certamente una visita.

The food was really nice, diverse and tasty options with good portion sizes. The paramigane was nice and creamy, the roast was almoat too good to be true and the deserts were good as well.

Amazing vegan food, but you must reserve in advance! - Edit
So I had the chance to eat here three/four times and the food and service is amazing. The prepare everything with care and love, paying attention to keep the tradition alive. But... As veganism (luckily) became more popular, to eat here you need to reserve in advance.. You can't just call 1 hour before. For 2 times in 2 years in Venice I had to skip my favorite (and actually only) vegan restaurant because it was over booked. Too bad.. That's the reason why I'm giving 4 stars. More availability please!!

Great food. Eggplant parmesan was amazing, best I’ve ever had. The ravioli was quite good but very expensive for 4 pockets. Portions are not very big. The tiramisu was ok, but I expected more since we were in Italy. Be careful to reserve ahead of time and plan in advance. Contrary to what their website stated, the restaurant is closed Sundays AND Mondays. They don’t accept walk-ins or online reservations so make sure to call at least the day before.

Lasagna was tasty, could have been plumper - not much seitan in it but a believable replica of the dish. Thai noodles were a random menu option but the waitress suggested them, and they were pleasant. Nothing to boast about but a comforting dish. Small servings, which was disappointing because we were excited and hungry. A nice walk away from bustling main area towards the university to get to this venue. Tiramisu did not taste like coffee. Don’t think it was even described as coffee in the menu. Tasted like cream. A nice evening for vegans to have security in their choices (as in, no room for error with content of food) but certainly not astounding.

Buona cucina vegana nella Venezia meno turistica - Edit
Mangiare bene a Venezia è difficile. Mangiare vegetariano/vegano lo è ancora di più. Dopo giorni di spaghetti al pomodoro, arrivo in questo posticino nascosto nel quartiere Santa Marta, fuori dai percorsi turistici, ma che proprio per questo ho apprezzato tantissimo, davvero autentico e particolare. In sala le ragazze sono carinissime e disponibili e il cibo è ottimo. Ho mangiato un' insalata russa vegana meravigliosa, degli spaghetti di riso con verdure e latte di cocco golosi, uno stufato di tempeh buono e un tiramisù fatto in casa: insomma tutto ottimo e in quantità abbondante. Buoni anche i bigoli veg e lo spritz analcolico. Bonus: vietato fumare sia dentro che fuori, grazie! Tornerò sicuramente nel mio prossimo viaggio a Venezia.

Fantastic food in a restaurant that is proudly vegan. I had the bigoli, which was delicious. The only downside is that you have to make a reservation, although it seems a days notice is enough for them to have a vacancy. The location isn't everso central either. Hopefully one day they will be able to expand to a bigger and busier location.

We went to Rome, Florence, and Venice on our honeymoon, Out of all of those places, Venice was the least Vegan forward. We went there expecting and knowing this. This place is an absolute gem though! Also, it is in a very quiet and nice part of town away from all of the tourism. It was such a lovely walk here and we really enjoyed it. We got to see a part of Venice we wouldn't have if this place didn't exist. I highly recommend coming here! It is a MUST if you're Vegan. We would have went multiple times if we could have!

Myself and my family had dinner here while visiting Venice and we all loved it, agreeing it was our favourite meal there (my family aren't vegan). The service was great, so friendly, prices were reasonable and food and drink were all so tasty. I was so happy to get to try a tiramisu when in Italy here! I'd say it's a must try if you are vegan as there isn't a lot of great vegan food in Venice.

It’s the only vegan restaurant in Venice so it’s hard to beat. All the food was simple and tasty. The location is a bit out of the way but that means it’s quiet. Nice staff. If you’re vegan, it’s obviously the place to eat in Venice. Reserve ahead!

My only regret is not going each night we were here, the extensive menu was incredibly tempting and I'd have loved to try everything! The tiramisu was even better than the ones I had before going vegan!

Einziges rein veganes Restaurant in einer ruhigen Gegend mit vielen Speisen, teils traditionell italienisch (bzw. sogar venezianisch), teils moderner mit Tempeh. Wir waren in 3 Tagen 2x dort essen, Reservierung empfohlen! Vor allem die Vorspeisen und Pastagerichte fanden wir super. 😋

My wife and I walked 30 minutes from the center of Venice to go to La Tecia Vegana. There were numerous tables inside and outside that were free when we arrived, but when we requested a table for two, they said with no reservation we couldn’t eat there. We asked if we could order take-out and they said they don’t do food to go. So we went elsewhere. But the menu looked good!

What a wonderful lunch we had!!! - Edit
La Tecia Vegana showed up on our map of Venice. I was intrigued. Our last full day was supposed to be Monday, when they were closed. But we had to reschedule our departure, which meant being able to have lunch there on a Tuesday.
Read moreThe day before, I went by there as a means of being sure to know where it was. When I found it, I saw a message on the front window that reservations are mandatory. I sent them an email to make a reservation.
Before you read any further, you need to know that they are serious about the need for reservations. As we ate our lunch, we saw several people being turned away for lack of reservations. Be forewarned about this!
The food was terrific. We had hummus, salad, lasagne, and ravioli. It was delicious. I would be happy to try everything on the menu. It all looked so good. You can't go wrong.
