The most amazing cannolo - Edit
I truly appreciated the variety of options. Everything seems delicious! I got ravioli as main dish and cannolo as dessert. Simply amazing! I also ordered a caffè made from cicoria and tarassaco. Very nice taste, like caramel. The staff is friendly. The location is lovely.

Nice food but not exceptional - Edit
It’s great that there is a vegan restaurant in Venice and the food at this place is certainly nice enough, but I wasn’t blown away in the way I was expecting to be by the previous reviews.
Read moreThe restaurant is a bit far out of town on the university campus (30 min walk from Ponto Rialto) but the place is cute with a nice ambiance and attentive and friendly staff.
We had the Gazpacho and Panzanella to start, which were both tasty. Then we had the Gnocchi, Ravioli and Lasagna which were good enough but a bit underwhelming. The tiramisu was very tasty but the Cannoli was not great.

Excellent food! - Edit
Absolutely a treat! My boyfriend and I travelled to Venice and looked to support vegan eateries. This was the only one so off we go! We ordered the ravioli and gnocchi. Excellent! It is a little bit off the beaten path in a quieter neighborhood but easy to get to via water bus. We made reservations so we had no issues. The restaurant filled quickly and many people were turned away. Make reservations!

Food mediocre at best (but appreciate a vegan option) - Edit
The staff here is very nice and the menu has a lot of variety in the options available. That said, everything I tried just didn’t taste good — from the starters all the way to desert. Not terrible but not something I can recommend. Too bad, as Venice is otherwise quite limited in vegan options.

Closed - Edit
We made a reservation by email and received confirmation. We dressed up. We traveled 90 minutes from our home for a special occasion dinner - vegan dinner in Venice!! And- they were closed. I understand if there was a family emergency (my sincere condolences); but please just let us know (you had our email) instead of leaving us utterly disappointed and with all the efforts we made to arrive for naught.

Excellent vegan restaurant - Edit
We visited this restaurant last month on a tour of Italy. As vegans, we struggled to find a good vegan restaurant. But, we struck gold with La Tecia vegana. Wonderful appetizers and entrees, amazing desserts. Excellent, friendly service. Cozy ambiance. Reservations are a must during their busy summer season. The non-vegans in the group loved it as well. So happy to have found it on Happy Cow.

So good! - Edit
I had informed the restaurant of our dietary restrictions when I made the reservation; the person who served us had discussed them with the kitchen and came to our table already able to tell us what we could safely order. They were very diligent in making sure our needs were met. And the food was really delicious and nicely presented; we had ravioli and seitan roast, and grandmothers cake (a traditional Tuscan dessert) and tiramisu which melted deliciously in my mouth. Highly recommended!!

Off the Beaten Path Vegan Haven - Edit
We really enjoyed La Tecia Vegana earlier this month. I'd made a reservation and was glad we did. The walk there was fun as it was often the beaten (crowded) path. We sat outside but thought the interior looked pretty nice too. We shared the bigoli, gnocchi, eggplant parmesan, tiramisu and cannoli. They were all excellent (tiramisu was outstanding) but for the cannoli. Service was good. I'd go again.

This is the only fully vegan restaurant in Venice. The price is higher than in able to accept in vegan restaurant. For raw zucchini spaghetti you pay 15€. Not a good price..

Nice food, but quite a trek - Edit
The food was good but not spectacular, though looking at what other people had ordered, I felt like I probably just picked the wrong thing (I ordered the gnocci). You absolutely need to make a reservation in advance, with no exceptions.

Succulent restaurant: a must go in Venice! - Edit
The Arancini are gluten-free and so absolutly delicious! The best wine in this region is the Prosecco and their's is really good! For two people, I recommend splitting 3 dishes (primo e secondo mixed). We took The Arancini, The lentil burger (delicious!) and the insalatone (refreshing!).

Pretty good - Edit
This was a cute restaurant in a quiet spot. Nice decor and good service. You need a reservation, but I didn’t have a phone plan so I looked up an email address and emailed. It was particularly hot in Italy and the restaurant was very very warm. Menu items were varied, so it was difficult to choose, but I had my heart set on pad Thai. Well, the food was tasty. The heat made it almost unbearable to enjoy it. The pad Thai did not taste much like a pad Thai so I was a little disappointed. The food was good quality and well prepared.
Read morePros: 100% vegan, Many options, Fresh ingredients
Cons: Pad Thai was ok but didn’t taste like pad Thai. , So hot I could not enjoy my food - A/C didn’t work

Get an aperol spritz! - Edit
It’s the only vegan restaurant in Venice so I recommend going to try italian food and an aperol spritz. For me the food was okay. The portion sizes were a little off - the ravioli dish I got was small (although yummy). What is quite cool, I recommend going for an aperol spritz! Aperol is not vegan, but la tecia makes their own vegan version so you can join the orange beverage fun.
Read moreI originally thought the aperol might not be vegan, but the fact that they handmade their own is so unique and cool I updated my review.

Aperol is vegan. The colours is not from insects. The manufacturer confirmed that.

Check barnivore for the latest communication from the manufacturer. They use gelatin as a refunding agent. It’s removed before the product is complete, but the use of animal products during production makes it not vegan.

They actually don't serve Aperol, they use a drink made of mixture of herbs instead of it in the spritz.

Marvelous Vegan Italian Restaurant - Edit
Exceptional 100% vegan Italian restaurant. Really amazing experience in the restaurant. I remember the dessert: I think it was the best vegan Italian dessert I had in all of Italy. We had the Cannoli and the Tiramisù (a masterpiece, in my opinion). I think I will go back to Venice one day just to try these desserts again. Restaurant a little more expensive than the average of other vegan restaurants in Italy.

Wow! - Edit
Just finished an amazing meal at La Tecia Vegana! The ravioli was great, the arrosta was delicious, the gnocchi was excellent and the parmigiana was off the charts!!! Thinly sliced, buttery, light, smooth and flavorful. It was a spectacular meal in a quite neighborhood well of the tourist path! Oh…and I can’t forget the amazing gazpacho and the two amazing desserts…cannoli and TIRAMISU!!!

Authentic Italian food veganised - Edit
This restaurant was lovely. We had the Panzanella and hummus, followed by the bigoli, ravioli, and fennel salad, then the tempeh, and finally the tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. The food was great. The tempeh was a bit odd but everything else was gorgeous. The ravioli in gravy was so delicious and I have already decided to recreate the bigoli. Really worth a visit and lovely to have a completely vegan menu in Italy. The restaurant is on a quiet street which is great when you’ve had enough of the busier parts of Venice!

Worth the trek for this meal - Edit
This restaurant was a 40 minute walk or 35 minute vaporetto ride for us to reach, but it was definitely worth it. We’ve been traveling in Europe for a few weeks and have not found many vegan restaurants. The food was great, and hooray for getting to try tiramisu while in Venice!
