Lovely vegan restaurant - Edit
We went there for lunch without reservation and it was no problem. Lovely concept and good service. We had the hummus, the russian salad, the lasagna and the gnocchi. All of it tasted good. We would go there again.

A vegan gem in Venice ! - Edit
So happy that I discovered this place.
Read moreHighly recommend booking as the restyis not massive and is very popular.
We went on a busy Saturday night but the servers were attentive and friendly. We sat outside where we got to watch the pigeons and all the lovely local dogs walk by 😊
The food was perfect, not massive size but the quality was amazing. We ordered a range of food from gnocchi, ravioli (the mushrooms were amazing), eggplant parmigiana and the roast (the size is not big on this). We got the tiramisu and raw cheesecake for dessert which were both phenomenal.
You could tell the food was created with care and it was just great to be somewhere without any worry about what you were eating.
Pros: Vegan tiramisu , Range of food options , Staff
Cons: Busy so please reserve a table, Some of the courses are not big in size

Soooo gooood! - Edit
5/5 for food and atmosphere - just loved everything, only negative aspect is that you can’t just stop by, you really have to make a reservation, but planning to go there is so worth it!

When in Venice… - Edit
picture this: 3 days of being dragged around on a family holiday having tomato and bread and more carbs and the occasional melon or banana for breakfast. this place is a god-send. vegan everything. nestled away in a quiet corner of venezia, surrounded by actual locals going about their day, with a breeze through the courtyard. a crisp glass of organic lemonade, fresh thick bread, a delicious slice of lasagna and finishing with a light and fluffy tiramisù. for the hungry vegan, brave the medium-distance walk to get over to La Tecia Vegana. i’m very very glad that i had lasagna and tiramisù in venice, in a quiet part of the city, what an absolute treat. When you’re quite pushed for finding anything deliciously vegan, there’s no negative comments worth mentioning 🙏🏻🕯️🇮🇹🛶

Disappointing for the high prices - Edit
I hate to leave a not very good review, as we were really happy to see a fully vegan restaurant in Venice.
Read moreThe location is in a quiet street in the north of the island, 20 minutes from the train station, which makes the stay really nice as the centre of the city is really crowded.
The food is pricey, but the quality is good. We had the home made ravioli and the pad thai which tasted good, but they forgot the shiitake — so it was actually a small portion of rice noodles with carrots and zucchini for 16€. When we told the waitress that the shiitake were missing (after having eaten it, which was our fault) she excused herself and went to the kitchen, but the kitchen staff told her they had put the shiitake on the plate. The ravioli were also good, but nothing special. I also had a vegan spritz and a tiramisú and they were both great.
All in all we expected more of this restaurant, so we were a bit disappointed. Maybe it was just bad luck.

The Pad Thai was delicious and the cheese cake was soooo yummy. I had an almond latte to go with the dessert. I was fully satisfied. The staff were so friendly and the restaurant was located in the quiet back streets of Venice. Definitely worth a visit!

Nice but expensive - Edit
The food was really good. I especially enjoyed the tiramisu. But I paid 16€ for 6 ravioli (appetizer) and that felt a bit expensive, as most of the main dishes were the same price but way bigger

Tastiest food - perfect - Edit
Service great - food choices and quality fantastic. Seitan roast - lasagna - ravioli - salad - tiramisu. We booked through email and got a table outside. It’s a little way out of the busy areas of Venice so was beautiful and quiet to sit out in a charming square - no fuss. Loved this experience x

La Tecia Vegana-5 STARS! - Edit
Excellent service both nights. (Shout out to Raven-she was friendly, professional, and attentive!) My husband and I were trying to taste everything on the menu although we missed a few things. It was all delicious. The Eggplant and Lasagne were absolutely delicious! We appreciate them being in Venice doing their part to make our planet a kinder, gentler, more peaceful planet. Salut!

An Oasis in the Desert - Edit
We have the added challenge of finding gluten free options in addition to vegan. La Tecia Vegana is the ONLY fully vegan restaurant on the island. We were staying close to the Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal so it was about a 30 minute walk. The restaurant is on a very quiet street and the only eatery at this location. For us, it was nice to get away from the crowds and be in a local neighborhood.
Read moreThe zero alcohol appertif was citrusy, bright and refreshing – not just juice mixed with sparkling water. Our server was cheerful and very helpful with making our selections. The black and white ravioli (how do they make black w/o squid ink?! 😃) was in a creamy sage sauce. Whenever there is a vegan + gluten free dessert, we have to order it. Here there were the cheesecake and tiramisu. We never see tiramisu in the US, so this was our choice. It was creamy, light and chocolatey – absolutely deliziosa!
I would encourage supporting this only fully vegan restaurant on the island. It would be a shame if this were gone.

Only fully vegan restaurant in Venice. Happy that it exists but I'm fairly disappointed. Small portions for the price and the food itself was a little lacklustre. Tiramisu was very nice.

Happy with the meal and service - Edit
We had a good experience in this restaurant. We ordered each a starter, a main dish, and each ordered a non-alcoholic drink (including a beer). Everything was great, and the staff was really friendly. The place looks nice and it's in a quiet area of Venice, but not too far from the train station (two vaporetto stops).

Biggest disappointment in a long time - Edit
This is the only fully vegan restaurant in Venice, and it's a pity that it's not a good one.
Read moreFood was not very good. We had zucca in saor (marinated pumpkin), gnocchi, and ravioli. None tasted restaurant-level and all were greasy in a home-made kind of way (chefs use oil appropriately to enhance a dish, these were soaked in it).
The worst part was the "cheesecake" dessert. We are not putting "cheesecake" in quotes because it didn't have any dairy cheese in it, but because you couldn't call it that. It was among the worst things we ever tasted in our lives, truthfully. You could barely call it food.
On top of everything, this place is expensive, even taking into account that it's in Venice, especially for the poor quality of the food it serves. This hurts us much to say, because we would like to support vegan businesses, but this is just not a good restaurant.
Furthermore, the place smelled like sewer. Venice doesn't always have a good smell, it is a known fact, but that day the smell was fine in the streets and only the restaurant smelled bad, especially the toilets (the place is rather small, so the smell came out of there and invaded the restaurant).
Again, it made us really said that the only fully vegan place in Venice turned out to be such a disappointment. But you must call a spade a spade.
Pros: Vegan, Only 100% vegan place in Venice
Cons: Food not restaurant-level (cheesecake inedible), Expensive (for the quality you get), Smelled like sewer

I'm looking at restaurants in Venice, such small options , and the potions look so small, and I can tell it's expensive by the plates haha. Glad to know I'll be skipping this.
