Nice food, but unwelcoming atmosphere - Edit
This is from a visit at the beginning of 2018.
Read moreThe menu is written on chalkboard next to bar (in Spanish – or Catalunyan?). We were addressed in Spanish (or Catalunyan), and as we didn’t understand, asked whether they spoke English, but got a rather annoyed roll of the eyes and sigh back. In our best Spanish-ish, we did manage to order some drinks and hummus and a plat du jour, which was with pasta. The burger was not available that day.
The food was very nice and cheap.
The reserved (and hostile?) atmosphere kinda killed it and we would probably not visit again. Would have loved to learn more about the collective and the projects they do, but we did not feel welcome.

Rude and racists - Edit
Me and my boyfriend wanted to try this place one day when we were in the area, I live in Barcelona. We entered and went to the bar to ask if there is a table. The girls who were working there looked at us and did not even say hi. We stood there for a while and were totally ignored. I suppose it's because I don't look Spanish and my boyfriend is a man. It's very sad that ppl who pretend to fight for a cause, treat other ppl so rudely based on assumptions. I'm glad there is more and more vegan places but I hope this one will close down as if there is one thing I cannot stand, that would be rude and narrow minded people.

sorry to hear you didn't like it. We have a problem in Barcelona with tourists but I don't think it was personal. they are not the friendliest people or the embracing type but they don't lick your ass either. Try again, they are nice.

Cosy place & excellent food - Edit
Very cosy and cute. It is small but very friendly. It has just a main dish per day menu but amazing food! Perfect place to chill with a couple of friends grand a drink. The staff is very nice and price is good. Very recommendable 😉

local feninista, antiespecista - Edit
Sitio agradable, bonito y donde te sentirás muy agusto, especialmente si eres mujer o queer. La comida es genial y a precios razonables, tienen libros interesantes. Si tu veganismo es anticapitalista e interseccional te va a encantar este lugar / proyecto.

Mixed feelings - Edit
The place is vegan in a location where not a lot of options exist. The food is good, I had a burger, and the people do open up a little when you try to speak Spanish. However, they were not very friendly, and the “tourist go home sticker” on the door made me feel unwelcome, and I am not even a tourist!

Many tourists who visit Barcelona have to be reminded that the city does not belong to them.

Instead of being a tourist, just be a visitor and don't contribute to gentrification. Support small places like this, boycott airbnb.
Read moremarlicious
Everyone who visits this city contributes to gentrification because hotels take not much less space than airbnb. Even if you're not a tourism, you're a foreigner in a city that already has too much, that can't grow anymore and that is on the brink of losing its typical culture.

A place with conscience - Edit
If you’re looking for a cozy restaurant, this is not your place. This place is vegan for the animals (the way it should be) and a feminist space. Those who say staff is unfriendly is probably because they were expecting other kind of service. They act like normal people. Not like restaurant waitresses. Food is tasty, staff friendly and price very affordable. I totally recommend it.

Tasty food - Edit
This place is a bit out of the way but the food is good. We had a coconut and lentil soup to start and then a rissoto.

Cheap for what it is.
Probably wouldn't go again, simply because there wasn't much choice and menu was in Spanish.
Pros: Food was tasty and cheap.
Cons: A bit difficult to find

Good juice, small burger - Edit
This place is a small collective that happens to have a vegan menu. The options aren't many and the portions are small, but they are fairly fast. It doesn't taste of much, except the juice which is fresh and uplifting.

This place should not be on Happy Cow. - Edit
Happy Cow is an international app helping travelling vegans to find places to visit. This place is very clear that it is for locals only - no feminist literature was in English. While it's great that this place offers a wide selection of feminist books, it is not welcoming to foreigners and actually had 'tourism kills the city' sticker right in front - not coincidentally in English. This seemed xenophobic, one step away from 'immigrants ruin the city' - rather more [censored] than feminazi. No matter what the owner will reply to this comment - I believe their attitude clashes with the integrity of this app. (Also, just fyi, it's much worse when no one wants to visit your city).

Xenophobic? In the case of Barcelona tourism does kill the city.

Worthy of support! - Edit
La Raposa is a simple furnished bar with little decor in the entrance area but some nice art in the back where is also plenty of space to sit. There are many books about feminism in the middle part, but everything in Spanish.
Read moreNo English menu, but helpful staff that provides you with all informations you need.
I had a burger, bravas and a juice. All very tasty, great bravas with great sauces (including vegan mayo), pretty good burger as well - could have been a bit more juice.
Fair portions for the price. Although many customers would order beverages only, the food is prepared with care.
La Raposa is located a bit off downtown, but still within easy reach.
LGBT-friendly space. Would visit again.
Pros: good food, fair portions, fair prices
Cons: limited menu, some decoration would be nice, good service seems to be reserved for patrons

Had higher hopes... - Edit
Visited this little place especially on a day trip to Barca. Menu was extremely limited, apparently as it was Bank Holiday Monday. Prior notice of such a massively restricted menu would have been helpful, maybe within the restaurant description on the website?
Read moreThe lady who served us was very apologetic about the limited menu and initially very amicable.
We shared houmous and guacamole with breadsticks, lentils, and patatas (one of each menu item that was on offer).
Houmous was lovely, guac was good but not delicious, other food was ok but could have been more flavoursome. Garlic mayo type dip with the patatas was gorgeous.
There was a group of customers near the bar who appeared to know the owner/staff very well and were talking and interacting a lot with them, this was very noticeable and could have verged on a little intimidating upon entry.
We sat out the back, nobody came to check on anything/ask how it was/check drinks at all after delivering our food.
Pros: Very nice houmous, Potentially cute venue, Pretty cheap
Cons: Lack of food choice, Lack of atmosphere, Staff not very attentive

I really liked the food - the choice is not too big but everything is super tasty. There is also an outdoor sitting. If you get there, try vegan cheesecake. It's exceptional, and I know what I am talking about - because I'm super picky when it comes to cheesecakes 😁

wonderful food and space - Edit
We headed here first during our visit to Barcelona since it was closest to where we are staying. We tried many things on the menu - potatoes, gazpacho, risotto and a burger. We pretty much licked all our plates clean -- everything was delicious!
Read moreThe wall art was also beautiful and inspiring. I could only guess about the books since I am monolingual but they looked wonderful too. Love their stand for social justice.
