Cabos only vegan spot - Edit
I was happy that this place existed because my hotel staff (some) couldn’t really understand the vegan concept so I welcomed having a place to take a short Uber ride to. Staff is very friendly. First night I went they were so busy and ran out of pizza and couple other thing so it was only right that I come back the next night to see what I missed. Glad to be able to support small local business. Believe it or not my favorite thing was the simple Cesar salad and the chocolate cupcake that resembles an old school hostess cupcake. So yummy.

Amazing little vegan spot! - Edit
Given the tiny amount of vegan restaurants in Cabo, this place really wouldn’t need to do much to shine, but even after their move they have once again stepped it up with an adorable location, friendly vibe, and great vegan fare.

If coming from the tourist areas, once you get on Miguel Herrera, turn right on the unnamed dirt road just past the Parque Magico, then take your next left and the restaurant is just up the hill on the right, lit up by white xmas lights.

Best vegan food in Cabo San Lucas - Edit
My one regret while visiting Cabo was that we were not able to return to this restaurant! It is the first fully vegan restaurant in Cabo San Lucas, family owned, and all meat/dairy alternatives are made from scratch using soy. I wish we could have tried everything on the menu spanning multiple days, but unfortunately we first ate here on a Friday and left the following Monday, so there was not an opportunity to re-visit (they are closed on the weekends).
Read moreMy partner and I ordered two of every kind of taco (five options) and everything was delicious. Initially we ordered six but they were so good we got four more! We also got a pizza to round out the meal and the cheese made on-site was amazing. Luckily we had room for dessert and shared an apple pie and key lime pie. The owner told us that her mother is a pastry chef and is the one who supplies the restaurant with the desserts. My mouth is watering just thinking about them again.
The outdoor seating is perfect for the pandemic and the vibe is classy but laidback. The staff are friendly and the owner is warm and welcoming.
This restaurant is a must for vegans visiting the area.
Pros: everything is vegan, great ambience, delicious food
Cons: none

I love this place. - Edit
Seriously I love this place so much. Their vegan tacos cost 18 pesos (less than $1 each) and they also have pizzas, nachos, and other dishes. Yummy desserts and water with fruit, too. This place feels really special because it’s off the beaten path (literally dirt road). The pricing is incredibly affordable compared to most places in downtown Cabo. The service is great and they provide bug spray, too!

Delicioso! - Edit

What a hidden gem! Absolutely worth going out of the way for. The owners cats are sooooo beautiful!! The only advice is to remember cash, we didn’t but the owners were very understanding and were happy to help us order an Uber to town to get cash and come back. Pizza is great and the cheese quesadilla board was perfection (pictured) followed by a great ceasar salad. Reasonable pricing too.

Delicious VEGAN spot! - Edit
This place is a very cool, delicious, local vegan gem. I went one night with my boyfriend while on vacation in Cabo and we really loved it.
Read moreThe location is a little bit tucked away- but I just put it in maps on my phone and directed the cab driver there. I spotted the lights and the sign down the street and found it easily. It is in a safe area like 5 minutes from a big resort.
The staff was so friendly and our server had great English, which was really helpful and convenient.
The tacos were delicious (they are inexpensive so get a bunch!), as was the guacamole, and nachos. Tip - get the nachos and order guac with them, it takes the nachos to the next level.
There are also raw dishes, like zucchini noodles with pesto, which was so fresh and tasty. I did not try a pizza, but saw some people who ordered them and they looked insanely good.
The food here is healthy, filling, and delicious. I also love that it is 100% vegan, and there are plenty of gluten free options.
Also, there are two cats that live at the restaurant - Taco and Mr. Mashed Potatoes. They are adorable and we loved them!
Coming to this place was so much cooler than eating at a big resort or tourist spot, and the food was so good that anyone, vegan or not, would love it.
I can't recommend it enough!
Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly staff

Must visit! - Edit
Had an amazing meal here and plan to come back for the rest of my stay in Cabo San Lucas to try everything on the menu! Would recommend to anyone, but vegans will appreciate that everything on the menu is plant-based.
Read moreSome people have put that it is a negative thing that it is away from the touristy areas, but I think that is a major plus. It is so much more peaceful. If you walk here from near the marina it is a good 30 minute walk, which builds your appetite for the feast that will occur at La Rana Vegana. When you are done you can walk back which takes less time because it is all downhill back to the marina.
UPDATE - ate here everyday it was open for two weeks straight and enjoyed every time!
Pros: Amazing food, Very affordable prices, Away from touristy areas
Cons: Only open in the evening, Mr. Mashed Potatoes doesn't come as near as Taco

You want the tamales. Trust us. - Edit
If you find yourself in Cabo San Lucas do yourself a favor and leave the tourist areas. You will find some real gems!
Read moreLa Rana Vegana is in a house in a residential area. But don’t let that throw you off! It’s well marked and there’s parking nearby. All the best food we found in Cabo was outside the tourist areas.
They have traditional Mexican food vegan vegan style and pizza if you’re feeling a little homesick. Whatever you decide you can’t go wrong. We didn’t choose. We had both.
Oh! If will be there when they are making tamales you must order them. ALL of them. We had 2 savory flavors and a sweet. They will also give you bolillo (rolls) so you can make tortas de tamal, basically a tamale sandwich. It’s a popular street food in Mexico City. It might sound weird but it’s delicious.
P. S. Get dessert. Whatever they have. You’re welcome.
Pros: Delicious traditional foods, Lovely outdoor seating, Very friendly service
Cons: Not close to tourist area

Strange Location, Nice Ambiance - Edit
This restaurant is built in someones house, with the seating area in the backround. It was very cute but hard to get to as it is up a STEEP hill (as in our uber drivers wheels were spinning and we had to try a few times to get over it) and also the area is just a suburb with no other businesses around. Food was good but not amazing. With uber its not too hard to get to but without it I dont know how you'd get to it. Glad to see vegan options here in Cabo!

Excellent! - Edit
On a trip to Cabo, we took an Uber to/from the restaurant, which worked great. The food was outstanding. We got the queso with nopal, Mexican pizza, and soy chorizo tacos, which were served with limes and a flavorful sauce. I would suggest adding the sauce to everything! For dessert, we had the limon pie and chocolate cupcake. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed the setting and getting to interact with the kitty. The staff speak excellent English and are very friendly.

Wonderful! - Edit
My mom and I have stayed in cabo for the past week and I have been wanting to try this place since we arrived, I’m so glad we did! The cab driver didn’t know what it was, though, and it’s located on a back road so it was kind of hard for him to find. I’m pretty sure we arrived earlier than they expected, as they didn’t seem quite ready for us (looking afterwards Apple Maps did say they open at 7, but everywhere else said 6). We had a few beers each (they have Pacifica but it’s not listed on their menu). The music was a little spotty but it was off a bluetooth speaker so it’s to be be expected, and we actually thought the music selections were great. The decor is adorable. Rustic, but with a pop of light blue on everything. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer which was amazing. I’m pretty sure everything is homemade as we heard blenders going and pots stirring. For an entree we got pizzas. They were delicious, but probably not as good as their tacos are which we didn’t see on the menu before we ordered. I got the Tuscan and my mom got la Rana Vegana pizza. They were different than any pizza I’ve had, but delicious nonetheless! The only problem I saw was the amount of flies everywhere. They were on us the whole time we were eating. I don’t really think it’s their fault though because the place seemed well cleaned. Al in all, great place, great food.

WORTH THE TRIP - Edit
I’m so glad we got the chance to drop by La Rana Vegana! Everything we had was completely delicious and very well priced. The queso funditio tasted so cheesy and the tacos were out of this world delicious. We are planning to come back again before we leave! Be advised that the location isn’t easy to find and is on a dirt road off the main road in a residential area. luckily our cab driver knew exactly where it was and gave us his phone number to pick us up afterwards.

The best vegan food you’ll find in Los Cabos - Edit
I refused to leave Cabo without trying this place and I’m so glad me and my vegan family had the chance to dine here before our trip ended. It’s definitely a hidden gem! The food is homemade and delicious. The service was outstanding. The owners are vegan and they’re such a sweet couple. They served us even though we didn’t have cash on us as they’re cash only. And even allowed us to pay our bill once were able to get cash after our meal. Good drinks, great food, and amazing service!

Relaxed, Sweet, Kind, and totally Delicious - Edit
I joined Happy Cow just to rave about this place. First of all, everyone that works here is so sweet and nice. The service is just outstanding. And I want to take this place home with me.
Read moreI LOVE Mexican food, and what I love about this place is the food is Mexican, for the most part. But the flavors are simply amazing. I never leave reviews and I'm not really good at describing food, so let me just say it is really really amazingly delicious! :-)
(Two pieces of advice: 1. It can difficult to find. We walked here from Cabo San Lucas, and the walk was a funny story! So, if you aren't in good shape, take a cab. It's on a dirt road one block off the main road! And 2. even though it may be hot back in Cabo, it can be chilly here and you are totally outside, so bring a sweater or light jacket.)
The lighting here is soft and relaxed. They play super good chill music. You can't go wrong!
Oh - Caesar Salad! Chocolate Cake! Hibiscus water. You have to have the tacos. But the whole menu is amazing!!! They make their own cheeses, too!
Pros: Delicious, Friendly, Atmosphere

Best Restaurant in Cabo Period!!! - Edit
If you’re vegan, this is heaven in Cabo, and if you’re not, it’s still one of the best kept secrets in Cabo. Some people told us this place didn’t exist and was closed, but they lied, and I’m so glad we took a chance. The food is hands down incredible. It’s all natural and original. They make their own cheeses so good my carnivorous significant other loved them. I could tell she genuinely loved them because she ate all of the cheese first, and she doesn’t like to waste her calories. The atmosphere is romantic on a rooftop. It’s outside so bring a coat if you get cold easily. Few tourists go to this place. Its prices for locals. We ate like kings and ordered almost everything, and the bill was only $34!!! It’s so nice to get out of the downtown tourist traps where they take advantage and have something authentic, delicious, and original. It’s a husband and wife, daughter, and son-in-law team that owns and operates it. They don’t always answer their phone, but they are open. Also be sure to order the water of the day, it’s crazy good. It’s hard to find, because there are no signs on the road. You turn down a narrow dirt road a few blocks before the gas station, and then make your first right, and then it’s on your left. It’s got a small sign out front and some stairs that lead up to the rooftop restaurant. It seems like it’s in the middle of the residential neighborhood. You won’t be disappointed. We’re going back again tomorrow!

We loved the food, the ambience and the service was friendly and excellent. If I was to move to Cabo this place would be one of the reasons why. They made the best tacos I've ever tasted (meat eaters don't know what they are missing out on). We tried a lot of the menu over two visits and enjoyed every dish. It was a wonderful restaurant, thanks La Ranna for making a wonderful memory for our stay in Mexico.
