A good option in a remote location - Edit
Arrived after Island Wholefoods had closed and was desperate for some lunch. Decided this was my next best option and got the vegan spicy pesto chick'n pizza. Came out loaded with toppings and was quite tasty. It's a bit hard to rate as there are so many good food options in Melbourne, but decided on 4 stars as I was very pleased with my meal given the location.

We ordered two vegan pizzas and garlic bread here. The garlic bread was fine but the pizza base was really bad. Tasted like frozen pizza from the supermarket.
Read moreI had a veganized vegetariana from the normal menu. There the toppings were good. We did not enjoy the toppings of the vegetable patch pizza, they were way to sweet.
Also very expensive, we paid almost 70$ for these three things and a single glass of wine.

Watery pasta - Edit
Ordered the "creamy" pasta with pumpkin and sundried tomatoes along side other yummy ingredients. I've had this pasta many a times from a variety of La Porchetta but this takes the cake for being the worst yet. The "sauce" just appeared to be water. There was no parmesen as advertised and it just tasted so so bland.
Read moreThey also didn't have the usual vegan stickers on the food which normally makes me feel trusting to eat it, but this occasion nothing. Disappointing, hopefully they can improve.

Fantastic italian - Edit
We stopped in Cowes for dinner while on a tour to Phillip Island and found this gem on happy cow. The atmosphere was nice with indoor and outdoor seating, a very family friendly feel restaraunt that's quite large.
Read moreI ordered the pesto chick'n pasta and my other half ordered the spicy vegan pizza and we got vegan cheesy garlic bread. The entree came out at the same time as the pasta dish (less than 10 minutes after ordering), but the pizza took 20 minutes. I would have preferred the mains be bought out together.
The portion size was HUGE. I am a carb-lover and will happily go for large portions of Italian but I could only eat half of this! Thankfully they were very happy to give us the remainder for breakfast. Both dishes were incredibly tasty, loaded with ingredients and well worth the price. I highly recommend this place.

Was so happy to see a vegan menu included with their regular menu. Lots of options for me and my non-vegan husband. He lived his pizza and I LOVED the pasta with cream sauce/ pumpkin/ veggies. I was still talking to him about it 3 days later. Would definitely go back if I see one of their other locations.
