Quite a few vegan options - Edit
A cool little vegetarian cafe, where most of the meals can be vegan, all meals are gluten free. We had the taco lunch. They were nice enough, but for the price they were very small and only two on the plate. Plate filled out with root chips, these had potential but we’re just ok.
Read moreI would like to come back to try their other meals on offer though.
Kuranda itself is a good place for a day trip as a vegan. Quite a few places offering vegan options in town and the market.

Love it! - Edit
I loved everything about this place! It’s tucked inside the rainforest market & is super colourful. It’s fully vegetarian but everything can be made vegan. The food is made fresh using locally sourced ingredients and boy is it good! My arepa was delicious! Very friendly staff too & they sell local artisinal jewellery too

Missed the mark - Edit
We should have reread the happycow reviews beforehand to understand all the vegan options; we asked about vegan options, and they only suggested the two dishes with "vegan" in them. We had the vegan taco lunch, tasty but too small for the $. The Panama Passion juice was excellent.

Amazing food - wish I could go back! - Edit
I got the vegan patacones and my partner got the arepa (both with chilli sin carne) and we Loved our meals. So fresh and tasty! I wish we could go back but have flown home to Victoria. Sadly we were in a rush and had to get take-away but I would have loved to sit in because it’s a super cute place in the original rainforest markets! The staff were lovely too

Amazing vego restaurant, all meals can be vegan - Edit
I started reading the menu here thinking I only had one lunch option, the "vegan tacos", only for the waitress to explain all their "meat" options were also plant based. So delicious. Would definitely return.

Great Latin food - Edit
There is a large range of options around three fillings a la many Mexican places. The arepa with chili sin carne was the culinary highlight of a 2 week trip to FNQ. Highly recommended.

Mouthwatering - Edit
We really loved our meal here. Had the vegan empanadas and the plantain cups filled with Chili sun carne. Food was presented in throwaway disposable recyclables. This is my only gripe and that you pay extra to have vegan cheese.

Authentic taste - Edit
I wish that they would up sticks and set up in Cairns. I would eat here every day.
Read moreUnfortunately they are located in the Kuranda market, a sad little hovel that makes me feel down in the dumps whenever I go there.
The hippies are surely sensing my unease and putting their bad juju on me. Just kidding.
But its worth venturing in for the food at this little restaurant. It's hearty and inexpensive, and seems really authentic! I haven't been to Latin America but I'm sure this is the most authentic you can make with the materials available here.

Good luck if they’re open - Edit
Decide who they serve to and when they feel like opening, two stoners who just don’t seem to care. What a shame, could be amazing. Served two younger girls then told me they were closed...it was 12.45pm wtf. They sat and stared at the girls.

Unique find - Edit
South American food, with its reliance on cheese, is hard to find vegan. But not only is this vegan, but it’s amazing. Such fresh and rich flavours that might even be healthy!

Wonderful Vibes and foods - Edit
Cool atmosphere with lovely people. The food is really very tasty and it’s a nice touch to have non-alcoholic beers in the fridge. There’s a little something for every type of person vegan or vegetarian. Give yourself some time to really relax and enjoy the food and the surrounds. We had to rush a little today but wish we could have floated around a little more.

Made with love - Edit
Had the mushroom tacos and the chilli sin carne (TVP) empanadas with vegan cheese and they were sooo good. The black bean stew served as a side to the empanadas was one of the best things I've ever eaten. The servers were incredibly kind hearted and bubbly, when we asked how they made their black beans so good they put their hand to their heart and said love. It was adorable. It did take a while to get our meal out so be prepared to wait, it is worth it. YUMM
