The cheese cellar is nice - Edit
In the cellar of the shop you can have a cheese board with wine. The glasses are a bit small, but the cheese is nice. Our favourite was the faux gras though, definitely try that. The blue cheeses were good, the Nero was a bit tasteless.

Delicious Camemvert - Edit
I haven't visited them in person yet but I I tried a couple of their cheeses at Veg Fest in Brighton and they were delicious! I also bought their Camemvert from Waitrose and baked it. I prefer it cold but I think that's just a personal preference and it was still delicious baked!

Great vegan cheese - edited to add: The Cheese Cellar wine-and-cheese dinners - Edit
Hooray for vegan cheese mongers! I visited this one when it was in Brixton. There was a wide selection of soft and harder cheeses, sampling possible. Tofu-based, nut-based, various additional ingredients to produce dessert cheeses, spreadables, appetizers, melters. I enjoyed a miso-flavoured cheese, a cheddar-like farmhouse cheese and a spreadable apricot cheese. Crackers and condiments are also sold.

Downstairs from the shop, in a chilly basement (winter), where there were five tables for two. We were, unfortunately, impacted by the loud pair seated next to us. The cheese selection is excellent and diverse - they are made from almonds, cashews, coconut oil, etc. My friend and I each had a plate (#4, #7) at GBP15 each, including a paired glass of wine, then shared the #8 Finale at GBP30, including glass of bubbly each. Accompaniments included herbed oil for the good, fresh bread, tapenade, grilled green olives, marinated artichoke hearts and vegan honey for The Finale. Paired beers also available, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. A very rich "meal," so it's a once-in-a-while outing.

Get yourself there! - Edit
We had five courses of absolutely delicious cheese (and I had the matching wines too! My partner went for non alcoholic🍷) the esoteric was a fave, the blue and earthy were equally as stunning. Such rich flavours and a really good variety of cheese types and accompaniments. You have to have the finale of a whole baked camemvert! Such a great cosy winter treat for a date night 🧀

Great “cheese”. Poor service - Edit
I was very excited for a wine and cheese pairing at the wine cellar of La Fauxmagerie. Our group was instructed to choose 3 different tastings, which we did. Service was quite slow, but we very much enjoyed the cheese and wine, so it did not bother us. Then, after our 2nd tasting, we were told that we would not be able to have our third choice because we were so slow. This was very disappointing, because we were very much enjoying the evening. We opted to take the 3rd tasting with us. We were still charged full price, even though we did not have our wine. I felt that the server was abrupt, and we paid a price for their sluggish service. Unfortunately, a very enjoyable evening was ruined because poor customer service.

The Cheese Cellar - Edit
Went to their cheese cellar for dinner which is a tiny restaurant underneath the shop and had a fantastic time. It's so cozy and the staff are so informed and helpful. We had two platters each and then the Camembert to share at the end (all with the wine pairings) - would highly recommend for a romantic evening for two!

La Fauxmagerie is a must if you love artisanal vegan cheeses. I have picked up so many wonderful vegan cheeses from this place over the years and have never been disappointed. They even let you try most of the cheeses before you buy...but be careful because you might end up buying all the cheeses!

Must-try vegan cheese - Edit
They have a small restaurant downstairs, below their cheese shop, that you can book ahead to try some of their cheese/wine pairings (non-alc options avail. too). We tried most of the menu and everything was amazing. Probably the best vegan cheese we've all had in our life.

Amazing vegan cheese! - Edit
Visited this shop twice now and the cheese here is amazing! I've tried about 6 different flavours and they are all brilliant. My favourite has to be the cranberry, I've eaten way too much of this over the xmas period! The staff were very helpful and explained all the flavours and let you try the cheeses. I find them to be brilliant to spread on crackers and have with some fine wine and grapes! Will be coming back again for more cheese in the future! They also have a small fridge with other vegan products such as bacon. If you love cheese then this is the place for you!
