The cheese cellar is nice

In the cellar of the shop you can have a cheese board with wine. The glasses are a bit small, but the cheese is nice. Our favourite was the faux gras though, definitely try that. The blue cheeses were good, the Nero was a bit tasteless.

Delicious Camemvert

I haven't visited them in person yet but I I tried a couple of their cheeses at Veg Fest in Brighton and they were delicious! I also bought their Camemvert from Waitrose and baked it. I prefer it cold but I think that's just a personal preference and it was still delicious baked!

Pros: Delicious cheese available in Waitrose

Superb

Great variety of flavours and of course replicas of traditional favourites. Mind blown.

Pros: hands down the best cheese there is.

Cons: tad on the pricey side - worth every penny

Great vegan cheese - edited to add: The Cheese Cellar wine-and-cheese dinners

Hooray for vegan cheese mongers! I visited this one when it was in Brixton. There was a wide selection of soft and harder cheeses, sampling possible. Tofu-based, nut-based, various additional ingredients to produce dessert cheeses, spreadables, appetizers, melters. I enjoyed a miso-flavoured cheese, a cheddar-like farmhouse cheese and a spreadable apricot cheese. Crackers and condiments are also sold.

(January 2023) The Cheese Cellar:
Downstairs from the shop, in a chilly basement (winter), where there were five tables for two. We were, unfortunately, impacted by the loud pair seated next to us. The cheese selection is excellent and diverse - they are made from almonds, cashews, coconut oil, etc. My friend and I each had a plate (#4, #7) at GBP15 each, including a paired glass of wine, then shared the #8 Finale at GBP30, including glass of bubbly each. Accompaniments included herbed oil for the good, fresh bread, tapenade, grilled green olives, marinated artichoke hearts and vegan honey for The Finale. Paired beers also available, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. A very rich "meal," so it's a once-in-a-while outing.

Excellent selection

An excellent selection of cheese (as well as crackers and chutneys), particularly the cheeses they make in house like Brixton Blue.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well

Get yourself there!

We had five courses of absolutely delicious cheese (and I had the matching wines too! My partner went for non alcoholic🍷) the esoteric was a fave, the blue and earthy were equally as stunning. Such rich flavours and a really good variety of cheese types and accompaniments. You have to have the finale of a whole baked camemvert! Such a great cosy winter treat for a date night 🧀

It’s a small venue so the service was excellent,

Pros: Soooo many choices , Great portion sizes so you can try a few , Non alcoholic options for wine too

Cons: None! Loved it 😍

La Fauxmagerie amazing vegan cheese

La Fauxmagerie is a must if you love artisanal vegan cheeses. We got some sent out to us and they arrived amazingly. Very excited we made a cheese board to die for.

Offering also aged vegan cheese like a blue cheese which is incredible.

Wish they was closer but they do offer mail service.

Pros: Alot of variety of cheese, Sell all the items to go with the cheese, Very very tasty

Cons: To far away from me. Probably a good thing lol

Great “cheese”. Poor service

I was very excited for a wine and cheese pairing at the wine cellar of La Fauxmagerie. Our group was instructed to choose 3 different tastings, which we did. Service was quite slow, but we very much enjoyed the cheese and wine, so it did not bother us. Then, after our 2nd tasting, we were told that we would not be able to have our third choice because we were so slow. This was very disappointing, because we were very much enjoying the evening. We opted to take the 3rd tasting with us. We were still charged full price, even though we did not have our wine. I felt that the server was abrupt, and we paid a price for their sluggish service. Unfortunately, a very enjoyable evening was ruined because poor customer service.

The Cheese Cellar

Went to their cheese cellar for dinner which is a tiny restaurant underneath the shop and had a fantastic time. It's so cozy and the staff are so informed and helpful. We had two platters each and then the Camembert to share at the end (all with the wine pairings) - would highly recommend for a romantic evening for two!

Great vegan Cheese

I took some of their Cheese Alternatives home on my last trip to London.
So far I like the Brixton Blue and Nerominded the most. But everything I tried was just delicious. I regret I didn't buy more...

Pros: Great variety, Very helpful staff

Cons: No shipping to Germany😄

La Fauxmagerie

La Fauxmagerie is a must if you love artisanal vegan cheeses. I have picked up so many wonderful vegan cheeses from this place over the years and have never been disappointed. They even let you try most of the cheeses before you buy...but be careful because you might end up buying all the cheeses!

Must-try vegan cheese

They have a small restaurant downstairs, below their cheese shop, that you can book ahead to try some of their cheese/wine pairings (non-alc options avail. too). We tried most of the menu and everything was amazing. Probably the best vegan cheese we've all had in our life.

The staff was also super nice -- and told us a lot about where the cheeses and wines come from etc.

Special shoutout to the baked camenbert (*camenvert) and champagne combo... Definitely a must-try.

Pros: Excellent food, Amazing staff

Amazing vegan cheese shop in London

I used to go all the time when it opened, I even queued for an hour to get some vegan cheese before Christmas 2019.
They stock an incredible amount of high quality artisanal vegan cheeses and some vegan deli as well (like chocolate spreads and chocolate bars)
Their sheeses convinced my cheese eater French dad and I discovered so many new vegan cheesy flavours thanks to la fauxmagerie!

Pros: Choice, Ethics, Amazing taste

Amazing online shop

We ordered the summer selection which was amazing, esp the cashew clotted cream! It's brilliant to have a selection of artisanal vegan cheeses, esp ones not all coconut oil based.
Can't wait to visit in person eventually!

Pros: Great selection

Amazing cheese and lovely people!

The cheeses were unreal, we got to sample whichever we were interested in and had a lovely conversation with the owners. They gave us lots of information about their products and how they were made and even did me a huge favour and let me keep my bike in their back garden for a few hours!

I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Pros: Food, Hospitality, Information

Amazing vegan cheese!

Visited this shop twice now and the cheese here is amazing! I've tried about 6 different flavours and they are all brilliant. My favourite has to be the cranberry, I've eaten way too much of this over the xmas period! The staff were very helpful and explained all the flavours and let you try the cheeses. I find them to be brilliant to spread on crackers and have with some fine wine and grapes! Will be coming back again for more cheese in the future! They also have a small fridge with other vegan products such as bacon. If you love cheese then this is the place for you!

Pros: Amazing selection, Helpful staff, Taste

Cons: Shop is small

Amazing!

I came here today after trying their cheeses at a friend’s house and was so impressed! I wish we had a vegan cheese shop like this in Edinburgh. Definitely not to be missed in London.
