Disappointing food & service - Edit
My husband and I (both vegans) had been wanting to try this place, but knew it was always very busy. We went last Sunday around 3:00 in the afternoon. There were only two other tables, but the service was extremely slow, from the start to when we left.
Read moreYes, there is a fully vegan menu (you must ask for it…they did not give it to us, even though many of the posters on the wall promote their plant-based pancakes) but the recipes do not taste good. I could not eat the tofu scramble because of the strange seasoning. I could not eat the corn cakes (a corn version of a pancake that sounded interesting) because there was a very strong sour (vinegar?) taste. After they ran out of what my husband ordered, he decided to try the burger. It was the saddest burger I have ever seen in Madrid…with the saddest little portion of freezer French fries.
While we waited for our food, the women at the table behind us received their food…and a few minutes later they got up to leave. They barely ate their food.
There was not a single piece of vegetable or garnish on our plates…not even a piece of lettuce on the burger or a sprig of mint on my plate. I prefer to eat a healthy vegan diet, but I sometimes enjoy a “junk food” vegan meal in Madrid, and there are MANY places that are better.
I have given 2 stars only because they do have a fully vegan menu. Based on food and service: 1 star.

Escasa carta vegana y los dos platos que probé no me gustaron. Los pancakes tacos estaban excesivamente dulces, solo pude comerme uno (y el relleno de los demás) y además se deshacían solo con mirarlos, era imposible comerlo todo junto. El bagel con tofu caramelizado estaba mejor, pero también muy muy empalagoso.

No todos los pancakes se pueden pedir veganos como anuncian en la carta. Sólo se puede pedir vegana la masa, si por ejemplo es de fresas con nata no tienen opción de nata vegana, simplemente tienes que eliminar el ingrediente... Nos ha tocado esperar fuera unos 40min de cola y han tardado más de media hora en servirnos. Además nos han dicho que como seguía habiendo cola fuera máximo teníamos 1h para comer. Se nos ha juntado el desayuno con la comida. Los pancakes veganos no estaban del todo mal de sabor pero súper súper grasientos, ahí va media barra de margarina.

Do not get too exited if you love pancakes and you think you’ve found a great place as they have quite a big selection with a note that they can be made vegan. It turned out that they mean only vegan batter, they don’t have vegan whipped cream, marshmallows, bacon etc. - so you just need to ask to eliminate those ingredients paying the same price.
Read moreOur portion of pancakes looked and tasted a bit sad and dry without the whipped cream, it only had 4 slices of banana and 2 strawberries.
As the pancakes are quite sweet we also ordered Vegan pancake tacos (with cheese, tomatoes and mushroom) but the waiter brought us its sweet version with Nutella - probably not vegan. The staff doesn’t know what vegan means. We asked for the dish we ordered and the waitress got quite confused, blocked and started blaming her colleague for the mistake. We finally received the tacos and they were ok, but they would be much better if the tacos were salty as very sweet pancakes didn’t combine well with cheese and tomatoes.
