Vegan perfection in the French countryside

If you are vegan, veggie, or just want to have a plant-based weekend where you feel completely looked after and cared for, this is the place to be. From the very beginning, Jen and Nick could not have been more warm and welcoming, meaning we could truly relax and enjoy our escape to the stunning French countryside.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The interior is beautifully designed and well thought through. The bedrooms and communal areas are modern without sacrificing a homely feeling. You can tell the hosts have poured their hearts into renovating the gîtes to an exemplary standard.

The rest of the property is equally stunning, with a lovely pool area as well as a cosy covered area lit by fairy lights.

The food was absolutely exquisite. How fortunate to get a vegan paradise in the heart of the French countryside! Every meal featured a beautiful and generous selection of inventive dishes using fresh ingredients, many of which were sourced from the neighbouring area. So not only are Jen and Nick the friendliest hosts you could wish for, but they are incredibly talented in the kitchen.

We spent much of our trip plotting our return - we can't wait to come back with our families to show off this gem we are so pleased to have discovered.

Pros: The food, The bedroom and communal rooms, The surroundings

Vegan paradise in a stunning location

We, a vegan family of 4, recently visited and wow, what a dream for vegans (or anyone)! We arrived a bit last minute, totally new to gîte holidays and unfamiliar with the region. Jen and Nick went above and beyond to help us plan our arrival and make us feel completely spoiled. We didn't have a car so we had the ultimate lazy, lounge by the pool all day holiday and that was exactly what we wanted. I only wish we could've stayed longer. The landscape, the views, the gorgeous farmhouse, the quiet pool surrounded by fruit trees and hammocks - bliss. But let's talk about the food. The two breakfasts were so delicious and like something out of a magazine. The welcome basket of goodies was the nicest touch (so many delicious things, from bread and jam to wine and chocolate) and the pre-arrival fridge fill is an awesome option (I highly recommend this!) We were so set, we never needed to shop during our stay except for the odd (delicious) baguette from the local village and we enjoyed dinners outside at our gîte every evening. The hosts had really thought of everything to make our stay super relaxed.

Amazing detail that tipped me over the edge: the honesty bar full of homemade vegan ice cream by the ping pong table near the pool. [sigh]

Top tip: enjoy your glass of local wine (or ice cream) at the table in the courtyard while you watch the sun set over the fields.

Pros: All vegan. No fretting or planning required., Super hosts. , Stylish self-catering with luxury eco-touches.

Cons: None

Exceptional

The most beautiful farmhouse to stay. Idyliic location, stylish interior and the most delicious food EVER. Cannot recommend this place enough for a holiday location. The hosts are so lovely- they even made me a vegan chocolate cake for my birthday!!! (It was exceptional!)

We received a vegan welcome drink on arrival (locally made vegan cognac cocktail), a welcome basket full of vegan goodies and they even did a shop for us so we had enough food for that night/the next day. It was so helpful (especially in France which isn’t known for being overly vegan friendly!)

Superb!
