Cute and Lovely!

Cute, comfy, and eclectic spot! The staff here are such a delight, which is definitely the highlight (aside from a vegan friendly establishment in Waterford/Clarkston).

I’ve been here twice so far, and we ordered the LA Garden and Picasso, which are breakfast scrambles (tofu sub $1.50 and vegan cheese sub $1). The lattes are also nice.

Pros: Service, Vegan options, Decor

Almost everything can be made vegan and gluten-free

Heidi, the owner is vegetarian, her husband and daughter are vegan. We felt in good hands! The service is very friendly and prompt.
Yummy coffee later with oat or almond milk.
All the scrambles can be made with tofu. We very much enjoyed ours. Good size portions as well!
The interior is quite interesting. Love the setting. There is also outside seating.
In the 11 years we lived in the area we never made it to LA Cafe which in hindsight is curious as it is challenging to find good vegan food around here.
Highly recommend LA Cafe.

Pros: The variety of vegan options, Friendly service

Cons: Also serves none vegan food

What a gem

A hidden gem with a few tables available. Food portions are great and so so good! They went out of their way for vegan options. Oh and check out the bakery items too!!

Pros: So good, Prices right

Cons: Wish I found this sooner!!

Eclectic Resturant with Vegan Options

Eclectic restaurant that supports local artists. Basically a diner and hipster gift shop had a baby and I don't hate it. Board games out for those who want to hang out a while. Lattes and baked goods were amazing. Baked goods and other menu items clearly labeled as vegan. The chili here is good. Even being so inclusive I still feel like there are only a few vegan options to choose from every time but the staff is happy to customize any dish in any way. The owner seems extremely genuine and fair to her employees from what I can tell. They also host fairs outside of the resturant from time to time.

Great for hippies

This is a fun and funky place. I enjoyed the food more before I switched from vegetarian to vegan. But the pancakes are good.

Pros: Local owned and quirky , Brownies , Decaf Soy Lattes

Cons: Need a tofu scramble , Need veg sausage , Need soy cheese

Bigger vegan menu!

I noticed a review has not been done of LA Café in awhile and it very much deserves it. LA Café has added more vegan options recently and they are all homemade and reasonably priced. They carry FYH cheese and the Impossible Burger. Their chili has always been vegan and you can add the impossible meat to any dish...chili cheese fries, nachos, burgers etc. They usually have one vegan special option for breakfast and dinner, these have included loaded oatmeal, pancakes, and homemade veggie burgers. I love their hummus and you can make yourself loaded spuds as well! LA Café has stepped up their vegan game to be a staple for us in Waterford now. Visit them and have some coffee, observe the local art and purchase a unique gift while you are there! Don't miss their Peacefest in the summer too!

Pros: Carrying vegan cheese and impossible meat, Make your own meals - easily vegan, Great prices!

Cons: There can always be MORE vegan options!, Charges for more than 1 refill on soda and coffee

Small place with big taste

This is a great place in Waterford! They have delish vegetarian and vegan options like the Good Mother sandwich (recommended, if vegan ask for without the cheese) and wonderful drinks (try the Chocolate Kiss) and really a nice staff. They also support local artists so they sell t-shirts, jewelry, and hand bags. I highly recommended this place to anyone!

Pros: Good value (under $10), Baked goods, ice cream, and coffee, Free wifi

Cons: Needs more vegetarian/vegan options, A bit of wait time for food
