Love this place! - Edit
They have a few vegan options, and I loved them all. No need to specifically modify them to be vegan, there are a few that are vegan by default.

Many vegan option - Edit
They have many veg/vegan options. I’ve had something I like here before.
Read moreThis time, I had Olmeca Bowl. The black beans were good, but the cabbage, Brussel sprouts, cabbage was crunchy.
Would be cool if they got vegan cheese to make nachos 😋
Pros: vegan/veg options, Good burrito, Indoor/outdoor seating

Great vegan food :) - Edit
Really good authentic Mexican restaurant with nice vegan options. I was impressed with the vegan options and how willing the staff were to make menu items vegan! The restaurant was very cute and pleasant to be in and the staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the vegan options a lot and would definitely come back!

Nice burritos - Edit
A very cute traditional restaurant, with indoor and outdoor seating. I had a nopales burrito and it was delicious. Multiple directly indicated vegan options with delicious and creative veggie filings.

Unique Vegan Specials - Edit
First, let's talk about the interior. It is filled with wonderful decor that really puts you in a dream. All of the signs inside are individually illustrated, making it feel like you're stumbling upon a rare gem of a spot.
Read moreOn my first visit, I went with the Olmeca Bowl, a delicious blend of cactus, artichoke hearts, black beans, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, carrots, celery, cauliflower all marinated in their house vinaigrette. It was a large plate of mixed veggies that really made my heart jump - excellent flavors and enough for a second meal, but a bit too salty for me. I wish there had been some rice but the chips/salsa on the side made up for that small factor.
On my second time, I had their Tolteca vegan burrito which was pretty good too, but the up-charged items they advertised including the fried zucchini and sweet potatoes felt lacking inside. I went with my parents who ordered some standard burritos and their's were falling apart and wet from the excess oils inside. Poor assembly indeed for all of our burritos.
Both of my meals were considered specials and I felt they were a bit expensive, especially the vegan options. My meal came out to $16 which felt really high when you think about how much the contents inside really cost. But that's part of our #inflation2022, am I right? (sigh...)
Pros: Nice atmosphere, Good food
Cons: Pricy

Always has veg options - Edit
One day I had a craving for a burrito and fries so I searched online to see which taquerias in town serve both and they're surprisingly few. (This town has a lack of online presence so there may be menus not available online.) That's how I found La Cabaña. I really want to support this place but sometimes they disappoint. I appreciate that La Cabaña is always trying to come up with new veg(etari)an specials. Nopales are great. Be mindful that like most Mexican restaurants, a side of beans has a layer of melted cheese on top that is not noted on the menu. I often forget this and end up disappointed. Sometimes they get the order wrong and you don't realize it until you start biting in or open the container at home. However, I really, really appreciate the amount of veg items they come up with in comparison to the other taquerias in town and even in other towns such as having artichokes and nopales in the burritos, sweet potato tacos, etc. Jamaica tacos are on point. If they added a vegan cheese, they could do a vegan take on carne asada fries with jamaica instead, hint hint.
