Best Take Away - Edit
Vegan Paella, eggplant pate, and the escalibada... Oh the escalibada! We ordered our dinner while walking around the medina, and went to pick it up just in time for sunset. If your accomodation has a roof top terrace, you'll have the best sunset dinner in Chefchaouen yet! The vegan paella was incredible and very filling. She spoke wonderful English, and even helped us order a dessert at a pastry stall next door. Everything on her menu was labeled and you can order via whatsapp, or just ring the doorbell at her door. They even deliver too. Highly recommended food.

Great vegan options - Edit
We got falafel and switched the yogurt sauce for a tomato based sauce (just let her know you are vegan). The flavors actually went together really well! It is more of a tapa size portion of falafel, so order multiple because you won't want to share! Vegan paella was very yummy, and not wet (I hate a wet paella). As good or better than vegan tapas you might find in Spain.
