Delicious ramen - Edit
Went there twice during our stay in Tokyo. Needed to stand in a queue a while but not as long as for many places in Japan. Fast and friendly service. Portions just the right size in my opinion.

Best ramen - Edit
Ordered the vegan ramen with the buddihist option. The charsiu was amazing. Portion is a bit small but this is Japan so more or less expected. Absolutely 5 star.

I’d give it 5 stars if it was allowed?? - Edit
Happy Cow says I can’t give 5 stars to a place that’s not fully vegan. The vegan ramen here is worth 5 stars in my opinion. Filling, scrumptious, comes with a tray of many ingredients you can add. The meat substitute was amazing. 2 bowls for $17 USD.

Good diner stop in Akihabara - Edit
If you are traveling with carnivores this spot is a good compromise. The vegan ramen is outstanding and the carnivores in my group raves about the ‘normal’ ramen. There was a line but the wait wasn’t long. The staff is friendly and the English menu was helpful.

Soy sauce based - Edit
Kyushu Jangara sits about 15 people - tiny. The place was wrapped around the block, typical of a restaurant with a vegan option. One of the waitstaff was taking orders in line. The ramen was straight noodles, and the vegan broth was soy sauce based. It was a good flavor. Likely my favorite ramen in Tokyo (not favorite of all time), despite my liking a different type of ramen.

The restaurant is small but very cozy. There's only one vegan option, but it's simply delicious. I went twice and there was a queue, but we didn't wait long. I strongly recommend.

De los mejores! - Edit
100% recomendable!

Vegan ramen!!! The soup broth had a lot of depth and overall it was delicious! They had vegan pork as a topping as well. There was only one vegan option at the time we went.

The shop is tiny and there was a bit of a wait but well worth it. Salty soy based ramen with tasty soy meat topping that is charred and smokey. Would definitely eat again!

I love this place. The ramen was incredible and I love the “hole in the wall” vibe. Also all the vegan options were clearly labeled which is so nice in Japan.

Best ramen I've had in Japan (thus far) - Edit
After even having Ts Tan Tan's ramen, I preferred the fantastic ramen from Kyushu Jangara. The clear broth was extremely flavoursome, the toppings plentiful, and the mock meat of a high quality ( I think this is the same meat as used in Ts Tan Tan).
Read moreThe place itself only has two vegan options, and this may cause discomfort for some as the interior is small, and you'll likely be eating alongside meat dishes. In saying this the atmosphere is cozy, and I personally enjoyed being here as it felt authentic, with lots of patrons lining up our front. It isn't too far from many of the Akihabara sights either!
Definitely give this a try if you're looking for some clear broth vegan ramen! (Would have rated 5 stars but the app doesn't allow this)
Pros: Great tasting ramen, Good location
Cons: Limited options, Likely be sitting close to someone eating meat

Great Vegan option - Edit
Two different vegan ramen. Sure there is no cross contamination wince the second one is buddhist diet which is close to japanese heart. Has a ramenya feel. English menu available but staff doesn't speak english. You can add different topings. Has an excellent taste and the toppings bring textures and taste.

In Tokyo, there are several branches of Kyushu Jangara Ramen, and each branch offers different vegan menu. In this Akihabara shop, you can taste vegan shoyu ramen. It's a classic ramen that tastes good. If you like such refreshing taste, vegan Yuzu Shio ramen at the Seibu Ikebukuro shop is also good for you. If you prefer a richer ramen, try vegan Kumamoto Tonkotsu-style ramen with burnt garlic oil at the Akasaka shop.
In this Akihabara shop, you can buy T’s Tantan's instant noodles too.

Good but nothing special - Edit
So many reviews said this was great, but I don’t know why, especially with a Tantan’s pretty close by. It was fine, but pretty normal ramen and very limited vegan options. It is a small cramped store which has an old ramenya feel to it, which maybe some people liked. Tantan’s has cheaper options, is tastier, and is all vegan, so no chance of cross contamination which, given the amount of meat, seemed likely at this place.
