Super comfy place - Edit
My issue with most places in Tokyo is that vegan not necessarily equals healthy or low in calories. This means I'm in a pickle quite often in specialty restaurants, since it's customary to be forced to order at least one dish.

delicious vegan ramen - Edit
small place, easy to find since it advertises its vegan ramen on the sign outside. you sit in two rows, and although our waiter didn't speak english it was easy to order. the vegan ramen was delicious, plenty of yummy toppings (mushrooms, tofu, sprouts, etc). it was about ~$10, the portion size is your typical Big Ramen. would recommend!

Dance with the realization that vegan ramen has found you as you trudge back to your hotel. Note: this establishment was visited prior to the deordination of social distancing.

Hearty ramen - Edit
It's a very cozy small restaurant with nice personnel. The vegan ramen was great, full of flavour. On the table there's white and black pepper, chili flakes, sesame seeds, pickled vegetables, garlic paste to add to your ramen. The music is great as well ☺️

Flavourful broth, excellent ramen - Edit
I ordered their special 35th anniversary Ma-yu ramen. It was flavourful through and through, with the highlight being their grilled soy skin (yuba). I highly recommend if you're missing some ichiran ramen. Limited seating available, only about 12 seats.

We tried to go here the other night but they were closing and VERY busy. We went last night and the vegan ramen was so delicious. I added garlic and chilli flakes and it had a bit of a spicy kick too! Would definitely go back.

Oishii desu - delicious! - Edit
Delicious! I had the vegan ramen with salt broth, was really good on a chilly night.
Read moreIf you’re a visitor to Japan, don’t be intimidated by the small entrance and intimate setting... and the immediacy of the request to order. ie Walk in the door, waiter is right there, points to menu (on back of door) and asks if you’re ready to order..
Also, for tourists, don’t forget to get your slurp on. Louder the slurp, the more you’re enjoying it!

Very Tasty Japanese experience - Edit
Tiny cafe with only one vegan option we saw (21/8’19) and we bought extra noodles at the end of our bowl (not sure why it’s an extra 200yen for extra vegan noodles instead of 150yen for non-vegans?) because we enjoyed the broth so much! Well worth the long walk to find this little place.

Disappointing Flavor - Edit
I was very disappointed by the vegan ramen. It almost tasted like there was something off in the broth they used and left a bad taste in my mouth. I purposefully held the noodles out of the dish to let the broth drip off enough that I could eat it. Super sad because so many other people on here liked it. I think I just got a bad batch.

great vegan ramen - Edit
I already reviewed the Harajuku location, but the vegan ramen at the Akasaka location was great, too! Get it, it's great. Kyushu Jangara is the best vegan ramen I had during my trip to Tokyo.

First few hours in Tokyo and I was lucky enough to find that my hotel is close to this place. Only one vegan ramen option but it was very fresh and filling. Loads of flavour. Very cute atmosphere inside. I’ll come back here again!

Traditional and delicious - Edit
I didn’t know this but apparently 5-star ratings are only allowed for fully vegan/vegetarian restaurants, otherwise I would have rated the full five. This place was tiny and cramped and hectic, run by a friendly older lady with minimal English, and the food was authentic and delicious. It doesn’t have a hoity toity fancy vegan dish made of odd things like carrots or coconuts (those places are boss as well, not a dig) but just a very traditional hot, salty, fatty bowl of noodles and flavorful vegetables. My omnivore friends raves about their own dishes, so it’s perfect for mixed parties (albeit small). Picture menu and cold beer 👌👌 love this place

decent ramen, nice staff, well-designed menu - Edit
I tried the 1000 yen yuzu broth ramen. It was a bit light with not much umami, but decent.
Read moreThe staff member was friendly. I liked the colorful shop interior and Japanese rock music that was playing.
I liked how the vegan options are listed separately in a big section on the menu so there's no chance of miscommunication with the waitstaff.
I also appreciated how the staff announced "Here's your vegan ramen" in Japanese when delivering the food.
Overall I think T's ramen is tastier but I would definitely return if I'm in the area again!
Pros: menu well-designed, staff reconfirmed order when bringing the food, nice interior design/music
Cons: ramen lacks umami

It’s vegan!!! - Edit
Not easy to find broth that isn’t chicken or fish here. I came to Japan to eat ramen and I finally found a place with vegan ramen! It’s on the ground floor and there are signs everywhere, this place might look closed cause of all the signs covering the door but it’s open. Also the sign says on it in small writing “we have vegan ramen.” You just go in and say you want the vegan ramen and they know what that means. It cost me 1000 Yen which is right under $10. Delicious!!!!
