First time here at Krimsey's in North Hollywood

My daughter and I found this location through happy cow and we live about 20 minutes away so we took the trip over and it was worth it! We ordered the jambalaya, cornbread, hush puppies and beignet...wow all of it was amazing! I would definitely recommend you check them out. The decor was really nice too. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and patient with us. The atmosphere is casual and laid back. Outside seating is available.

all vegan Cajun!

I've been to Krimsey's twice so far, once for the Grand Opening, where they were serving jambalaya and corn bread, and again just to pick up dinner to go when I ordered the po'boy, hush puppies and beignets. The food is delicious and it's fantastic having an all vegan place serving Cajun food. The service and decor were lovely although I look forward to checking them out in their new space. The beignets are wonderful and I definitely want to return have coffee with them in the morning as well as to try the rest of the menu items.

Pros: all vegan Cajun, beignets!!!, nice service

Great food!

I had tried Krimsey's food at several festivals but have wanted to check out her restaurant since it opened. It took 90 minutes to get there but it was well worth it! Friendly staff, great food and a cool vibe.

Ordered my favorite Jambalaya, it was great as always. Also had the cornbread and brownie beignet which were also tasty. I ordered the Po' Boy, gumbo and a salad for my wife for later (I had to make the drive worth it!) I'm sure they are all going to be great! It was nice to be able to give them there HC Excellent Reviews sticker!

Pros: Great flavors, Friendly staff

So good!

Small place, simple menu, delicious food. It's great to get vegan options for different delicious cultural foods. The only thing I'd say is that they should have a bell or something at the counter because sometimes all of the employees are in the kitchen -- but that's just a minor thing!

Worlds First Vegan Cajun Restaurant! And it's perfect...

Authentic Cajun flavors from the hot hot Jambalaya y'all, to the po boys me an my home boys enjoyed (hint: batter-fried hearts of palm). Crazy good spicy fries, the kindest corn bead. Genuine tasting vegan Cajun?!?! Impossible and true. Bring the carnivores. Eat til you sweat, then keep eating:D I can't wait to come back for the gumbo.
Until then, Bon Appetite!

1st time here

I had gluten free jambalaya and potato salad.

Pros: close to home, service fast, good food

Cons: not a lot of choices for gluten free , also very small menu

Thank you for reviewing! I'm so glad you loved it. We are slowly adding more items to our menu (with more gluten free options), so we hope to see you again soon! :)

Thank God it's not another Thai Vegan Place!

As much as I love me a good Thai vegan place, even when it's subtlety disguised with a few American cuisine selections like a hamburger and french fries- bless you, Krimsey's for doing something different and doing it well.

A small tight menu, but everything is carefully made, beautifully presented and high-quality. I ordered the jambalaya along with the fries and their dip, I was very pleased. I'm going to come back soon for the po' boy sandwich to try some of the other sides that I saw.

Please go out and support those individuals that have these innovative ideas-so we don't end up with the same kinds of restaurants over and over again, and we can enjoy some variety.

Pros: Out of the box Vegan option, Real Cajun is rarely vegan, Relatively large (for a vegan place) dishes

Best Darn Cajun Food Around!

I recently visited New Orleans but couldn't eat most of the Cajun food there since it wasn't Vegan. Now, in my own backyard, I get to try a number of Cajun dishes that are quite delicious and very filling.

I'm looking forward to bringing a number of friends here on my next visit. The world can never have enough Vegan restaurants!

Pros: Reasonably priced, Good size portions

Cons: Very limited parking

Vegan Cajun? YES, PLEASE!

My boyfriend and I ordered one of everything to share...And we loved it all! Everything is seriously SO delicious, plus it's clearly made with love and a whole lotta soul.

Cajun food is notorious for it's spice and flavor, and the food here doesn't disappoint! But don't be afraid if you can't handle a bit of heat - Krimsey and staff can point you toward a few milder options, too.

I already can't wait to go back, especially for that hearts-of-palm po' boy! Oh, and the jambalaya! And the cajun fries...And and and...Agh, I'm hungry all over again!

Pros: Insanely delicious, Great prices, Awesome staff

Cons: You'll wish you had a bigger stomach!

Born again

I used to eat meat. Then I ate Krimsey's. Been murder-free ever since.

I still wake up in the middle of the night. Like a dog in heat. Feigning for her jambalaya super bowl. I promise you, if you have at least half a normal set of taste buds, you will not be able to keep your tongue away from her cajun seasoning.

And her voodoo brownies are like R Kelly songs. They will melt your heart, but you might feel a bit guilty afterwards, not because they peed on a teenager and filmed it, but because you just realized you put down 40 of them and will have to eat nothing but broccoli for the next month to get your macros back in balance.

Also, Krimsey (founder and owner) is a delightful person and a compassionate earthling. Say hello and be grateful that, in this chaotic and lonely universe, your paths have crossed. And then go home an leave a yelp review so that others may too decide to make the pilgrimage.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly staff
