Tasty vegan & vegetarian food on the Black Sea

Based on Sethy’s review on here, I stopped here when doing a day of sightseeing in the Pomorie area earlier this summer. I tried two dishes listed as starters/appetizers, an eggplant dish and the veggie tempura. Despite both being described as starters, together they were a bit more food than I could eat even though I was hungry. They were both delicious. I also had a fresh lemonade which was great too. The restaurant was very crowded when I stopped in so without a reservation I had to sit inside despite the lovely weather — something to keep in mind for a visit.

Pros: Great food , Nice seaside location

Cons: No air conditioning running inside so it was hot

Possibly the best restaurant in Pomorie for non-vegans. Maybe for vegans, too.

It can be frustrating in Bulgaria for us lot. Almost nowhere outside of Sofia lists anything as vegan. But there are lots of veggie dishes and some can be made vegan by just not having the cheese.

This place actually had several vegan dishes - there just not clearly marked. And some that seem to be would be cooked in butter if you didn’t ask for oil instead.

But, the three dishes I tried here were all excellent.

A mix of great, fresh ingredients and proper cooking brings out the flavor of the veggies. The chargrilled aubergine in the Country Salad was intensely flavourful, as were the peppers and courgettes in the tempura veg, which were all super crispy.

Really nice.

Pros: Lovely local restaurant vibe, Outside terrace, with view of the beach, Delightful vegetable dishes

Cons: Meat, seafood and dairy, Vegan dishes not clearly marked, Some apparently vegan dishes cooked with butter
