Vegan hotel and dining experience - Edit
My husband and I were excited to spend part of our honeymoon here and overall had a good experience, however there were a few shortcomings:
Read more1. The food service was incredibly slow. We had dinner our first night at the hotel and it was a 2.5 hour ordeal. While I understand they are trying to create an experience, dinner should not take that long to prepare or serve. It deterred us from
Having dinner again at the hotel.
2. Portions are very small for what you pay. The food is expensive however the dinner and lunch portions are quite small.
3. Our breakfast order was completely forgotten one morning. After placing our ordering and waiting 50 minutes, I followed up with the waitress only to have her tell us the kitchen “ran out of paper” and our breakfast order was forgotten. This was frustrating and disappointing.
Overall I do not think you completely get the full value of what Koukoumi is charging. If you want to have a very fancy dinner with small portion sizes and a hefty bill, this would be a good spot to eat. I do think the lunch menu is better than dinner and the breakfast buffet was great too.
Cons: Very expensive, Small portion sizes , Incredibly slow service

A special place - Edit
My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights for our honeymoon. We couldn’t have wished for a better stay.
Read moreThe Koukoumi os a small boutique 5* hotel that is fully vegan. When we stayed there was a mix of couples/families and friend groups staying there. They also allow pets!
We stayed in room 6. This has a hot tub and private terrace. The room is next to the pool.
The hotel price includes breakfast. We opted for full board which included lunch and dinner as well. There are half board options for breakfast/lunch or breakfast/dinner. The hotel accepts outside guests for lunch and dinner. There is a degustation dinner that you can book in advance that costs €130.
We have eaten very well while we have been here and have made our way through all of both the lunch and dinner menus. My husband prefers the dinner meals while I preferred the lunch menus.
The staff here are amazing. They have looked after us while we have been here. Everyone is very friendly while being at the top of their game.
Pros: Fully vegan , Gym and daily yoga classes , Stylish

The dishes were amazing, the place was gorgeous and the staff was super nice! I loved that it feels fresh and healthy. I usually don’t order salads because they bore me, but here I was struggling to decide which to get - they were really good.

Serene vegan oasis - Edit
A beautiful vegan hotel. We loved our stay here and really enjoyed waking up each morning to a lovely vegan breakfast. The breakfast menu is quite small, it would nice if there was more choice and a bit of flexibility.
Read moreThe staff were excellent and helped us organise a rental car.
Note that the hotel is situated in Ano Mera, a sleepy town situated in the middle of the island and about 15 mins from the old town. Taxi's to and from the hotel can be expensive (~€50 per trip), there is a local bus service but it's not very frequent (https://mykonosbus.com).

Some favorites: the amuse bouche, ceviche,
Seitan pappardelle. The bread was amazing. Everything we had was really amazing.
The presentation of the dishes were very interesting as well.
The pricing is very reasonable for this quality.

This is a complete vegan food experience! - Edit
Every bite of food we had in our two days at Koukoumi was a full on dining experience, which is something I rarely get as a vegan. They are really doing something special here and my advice is to go to Mykonos just for this!!

EXCELLENT - Edit
We stayed here for 4 nights and ate all our meals here. The food is absolutely fantastic. Healthy yet tasty and surprisingly filling given some of the portion sizes, my husband and I are both big eaters. There are plenty of gluten-free options. An absolute must for vegans if you go to Mykonos.

The best vegan restaurant in Mykonos (or even the world?) - Edit
This was the first restaurant we tried after arriving on the island and it did not only blow all of our expectations as it set the bar so high for vegan cuisine in Mykonos (and the world?). Our first meal there was probably one of my favourites ever (yes, we had to the return there for a second time during our short stay, to make sure it was real), everything was perfect! The ambience and service are pristine, but the food is just divine, everything is done and presented so meticulously, you can taste every single ingredient that constitutes your plate, a total arousal of the senses. A personal favorite was the “fried egg” (the only repeated plate in our return … besides the ice cream), I had never tasted anything like that before, it was even better than what I recall from the taste of fried eggs. All the other plates shown were great too, particularly the souvlaki and the sushi. For dessert, we had the vegan ice cream, once again, so much flavour … and the pistachio one, unimaginable, one needs to try to believe it, so natural, so fresh, simply fantastic. The price is on the higher end, but totally justifiable regarding the place, the island and the quality of the food, the portions are also optimal - we had 3 plates to share for the 2. We just wanted to stay there and eat forever, might just return to Mykonos for this restaurant only!

A soothing vegan oasis on the otherwise rather hectic island of Mykonos - Edit
We spent a week at the hotel and would go again anytime.
Read moreEverything is perfectly coordinated in this hotel: Greek-modern architecture with a wonderful pool with many inviting seating and lounging options. The rooms are modern, spacious and tastefully decorated. The varied (vegan) breakfast buffet is a dream. The hotel's own restaurant offers the highest vegan top cuisine - which is unparalleled worldwide. For excursions, the kitchen even offers take away. The 9-course dinner is next level! The hotel staff are accommodating and make the stay very pleasant. The whole experience is a treat for the mind and the (vegan) body.
Pros: Architecture and pool, Unparalleled vegan cuisine, Very friendly staff

Vegan fine dining - Edit
It’s definitely expensive (however normal for Mykonos). But the price is more then worth the food. It’s noticeable that Chefs with high creativity and gourmet standards built the menu. Dishes are well tuned and have new and interesting, fitting flavors.

Fine dining excellence - Edit
We booked here for dinner one night as we were staying at a different hotel. Wow! The hotel is absolutely stunning. The restaurant is poolside and it is just beautiful.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and accommodating of my nut allergy, clearly explaining which dishes I could and couldn’t have, and which ones could be modified for me.
An amuse-bouche was provided which was excellent.
We ordered the aubergine starter - wow! Very tasty.
For mains we couldn’t decide so we ordered 3, the scallops, the seitan steak and the ramen. All were delicious. Don’t expect big portions as this is fine dining. The quality is excellent.
For dessert we had the lava thing, it was a chocolate soufflé. Again, this was excellent.
Overall everything tasted fantastic and was some of the best vegan food I’ve ever tasted. Very happy to have eaten here. One small criticism would be that the descriptions on the menu aren’t fully accurate - I ordered the seitan dish as it was described as coming with Brussels sprouts and the Instagram picture showed spinach and some other veggies, but when it came it was just potato and beetroot. Still very nice but not what I expected and the said this was due to seasonality. Also I would have liked more vegetables in general, most of the menu items were imitation fish, meat etc which although lovely I did fsncy some more vegetables. Perhaps a side dish could be offered.
Price wise, for 1 starter, 3 mains and a dessert (no drinks other than water which wasn’t charged) it came to €106. Expensive but worth it. I don’t know how this compares to Mykonos in general as this was our first night, but for the quality, I wasn’t upset.
Pros: Fine dining , Friendly and accommodation , Supposed cat and kittens but didn’t see
Cons: Wanted more vegetables , Small portions

Very good vegan restaurant in the center of Mykonos island - Edit
I had lunch here with my husband. He is not vegan but enjoyed his tagliatelle with pesto. I am raw vegan and ordered spring rolls (very tasty, with a complex balance of different ingredients) and a raw tortilla, which had what I think was a boiled carrot in it (maybe it was marinated?? But way too soft). The taste was fantastic but the wrap was too thin (it broke apart).
Read moreAll in all a good experience. Happy to have had a meal there but honestly not going back a second time.
Unfortunately prices in Mykonos are almost outrageously expensive!
The hotel must be splendid, what I saw was beautiful but it is a bit remote and far away from Mykonos town - Ano Mera is a very quiet village, so you do get a ton of relaxation!
Pros: Two raw vegan options in the menu, Very tasty food, beautiful presentation, A great setting for the restaurant
Cons: One of the raw options was not 100% raw :), High prices (but… that’s Mykonos!), Had to wait a bit too long for our order

In addition, all the furnishings, accessories, cosmetics, and spa treatments are 100% vegan.

We were at the restaurant three times. For breakfast, Lunch and dinner.

Dinner: expensive but nice. And very good in taste. Again lack of vegetables.

I've been vegan for almost 18 years and the menu at Koukoumi Hotel is some of the most creative and interesting vegan food I have ever had. Exceptionally prepared and presented and excellent service. We literally gasped every time a dish came out and would go back to Mykonos just to eat there. Absolutely gorgeous and delicious food.

Our stay here was amazing! The staff is very friendly and they made us feel welcome. The place is exceptionally clean, minimal, in a quiet area.
