Came for the food, will return for the food AND the beer. - Edit
Nice food in a calm and friendly atmosphere. The staff was very friendly.
Read moreI ordered a combination meal with both cold and hot dishes and they where all very tasty. If you prefer your food very salty though, then this is probably not your kind of place. If you as me likes to taste the actual food then its really nice. They also served locally microbrewery type of beer that tasted delicious. the food is nicely presented to is looks just as good as it tastes.
Pros: very tasty food, quiet and calm atmosphere, friendly staff that also speaks english

Amazing vegan restaurant in Akihabara - Edit
Delightful sustainable vegan dishes with a inspired on Japanese traditional cuisine. Added bonus of being very close to Akihabara station and inside a gourmet market where you can buy other delicious Japanese traditional treats. Was slightly on the expensive side and only had 4 menus.

Great place to eat - Edit
It is slightly more expensive than most places in tokyo (1100/pers) but worth it imo. It was very tasty, full vegan, very nice staff, and also very calm environnement.

Delicious and healthy - Edit
Not sure what the previous review is on about! Dragged 3 carnivore mates here, but all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I got the set with a bit of everything, and they had the curry sets and the fried set. Interesting flavours, some soft in taste some heavy, but all round a great meal.

Tastes Too Healthy - Like Dirt - Edit
Yeahhh… the food literally tastes like dirt with dressing. It’s bad, even that unhealthy-delicious-looking fried food tastes bad. Come here for food, don’t come here for flavour.

Enjoyable dinner - Edit
We had the curry set and the breaded and fried ‘fu’ set. Both were enjoyable. Service was very quick. We arrived just in time to get food, a bit after 6 (last orders at 6:30 pm) and there were only three options available then.

calm down in busy akihabara - Edit
The small restaurant is inside a natural, healthy food grocery store, also very worth a visit. A very nice retreat from, and within, busy and smelly akihabara :-)
Read moreThe restaurants corner is quite small, and feels nice. They have bookshelve full of information on good food (EN + JP) as well as other information on veganism in Japan.
The selection of menues is small, but good. 3 dishes a 1300 yen + a sample set 1650 yen, wich has a little bit of all the others.
We had the sample set. It was all very tasty. However, I recommend to take one of the normal set if you are looking to properly eat and the sample set only for inspiration. The samples are just tiny and do not play together all that well (no surprise there), e.g. The curry with the japanese style dishes.
Definetly recommend to check this place out.
Pros: Good food, Centrally located

Nice option in Akihabara - Edit
Cheaper than most shojin ryori in Tokyo and you can get a nice lunch set, but a little lacking in flavor. Maybe due to not using alliums.

Vegeterian set - Edit
It was not easy to find vegan food at Akihabara, we were lucky to find this veg restaurant. Overall, we enjoy the nicely plated vegetarian food set meal. It was a healthy and non oily food option. However, just a little disappointed with the food portion as it was rather small and the price was on the high side.

Pretty good for price - Edit
I’ve been to Komaki Shokudo before 2 years ago and it’s changed a little since then. Now you can only order 4 different types of dishes. There is a Tofu set, Tonkatsu set, special set and another one i forgot. The special set is a little more expensive at ¥1680 but there are various side dishes so I think it’s worth it. I had the tonkatsu set and it was really delicious. Miso soup was a little bitter for my taste though

Great option if you avoid alliums - Edit
It’s not easy to find vegetarian food without onion, garlic and other alliums. This is one. Owner is responsive to Facebook message, and communicates in English. So check ahead before going.

Small eatery, you can taste the best of vegan homemade food. Don't miss their curry and their kurokke, so delicious. I also tried the green tea and white sesame ice-cream, which actually wasn't so good as the savoury dishes.

Tucked In a Corner - Edit
We originally had a difficult time finding this place amongst the rest of the shopping stalls in the building (far right corner, near a coffee shop). However, we really enjoyed the food once we did. Although it was light, I did not find it to be bland or that much different from other "healthy" traditional Japanese food. Additionally, the owner/server was quite nice to us and patiently walked us through the ordering process, so I'm not really sure why a lot of other reviewers had negative experiences with her. The food was a little pricey, but overall, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience here.

My go to in Akihabara - Edit
Traditional obanzai Japanese food. Really good and flavourful. Not to oily or salty, for those who are avoiding it. I always go back when I’m in Akihabara area. I brought non-veg friends over there and they loved it!

What can I say..three dishes to choose from..I opted for a "tasting set" (Y1,500). Rice and curry was just OK, the rest (tofu and some sort of soup) was tasteless and bland😒
