Amazing - Edit
Just had lunch here and absolutely loved it! Very welcoming and friendly staff who were helpful and encouraging when I tried to practice placing my order in Japanese. We had the curry and komaki meal sets and they were fantastic. A delicious hot soy milk houjicha rounded off the meal perfectly for me. Will definitely be back!
Read moreEdit to say I have since been back and had the kitsune udon which was absolutely delicious and bought their branded tote bag as I really want to remember this place. The bag itself is super cute and well made and has handled a lot of heavy stuff and rain so far.

Friendly Vegan Restaurant - Edit
Nice vegan restaurant serving traditional Japanese food. The staff were extremely friendly, and menu had a variety of options. Food was good too, but not something I may go out of my for, as flavours were not as good as some of the other places we visited. Though by no way a bad option if you’re in Akihabara and want a filling vegan meal with good service.

Really nice place! - Edit
I came for lunch and tried the set where you get a billion little dishes, including tastes of three of the mains (fu, karaage, and curry). It was really good! I was afraid it would be too much food but the portions of each tiny dish were kept really small so while I left feeling full and satisfied it didn’t make me feel like I was over eating. There was a wait but the line moved quickly. I think this is the type of place that is better for lunch than dinner.

Average Tofu Sets - Edit
I was surprised to find a vegan friendly tofu restaurant in the middle of Akiba. It was sort of the last spot I'd expect but a nice treat given we were in the area and I was looking for plant-based options.
Read moreLike others have shared, the service here seems hit or miss. The greeter was also the server and cashier, so I could tell being a one-womxn show can be challenging. However, we didn't get super friendly vibes from them upon entry and it almost felt like we were inconveniencing them by patronizing their restaurant.
Nonetheless, we got to ordering our meal. Most sets are around ¥2200 - ¥2500, which is honestly quite steep for the quality of food you get. We each ordered a different set - one with soy meat karaage and another with a tofu steak. Both of these were fine and the rest of the set was a mini sampling of other tofu related dishes and veggies.
I enjoyed the meal but wouldn't say it was mind blowing by any means. With more tasty vegan restaurants popping up, I wouldn't say coming back here is on the top of my list given the food quality and price.
Cards are accepted here as well.

Wow, hugely disagree! This place is incredible! Kyoto level Buddhist vegan food in the middle of Akihabara! Everything is chosen and balanced to perfection.

Wonderful ramen in small café - Edit
This café was very welcoming and I had an amazing udon dish with a fresh ginger ale. The waitress spoke very good English. I went on a Sunday evening and the café was quite empty with plenty of seating available. They also sell ingredients and a (Japanese language) recipe book.
Read moreNote I found the café quite hard to find, it is inside CHABARA. There is no sign for the café from the street.

Relaxing Repast - Edit
This is a Lovely dinner spot with a delightful staff. There was an English menu with photos. Several items were unavailable but there was enough to chose from. Vegan diners are used to limited selection so having more than one thing to choose is a treat for me! The food was tasty and plentiful by the time you add the multiple dishes served. I did have room for soy ice cream that was delicious!

Not the cheapest option, but well worth it! Everything on the menu is fully vegan and the staff was exceptionally kind! Though you might need to wait a little, until you get a table as the store is a bit small.

Good food but a bit expensive - Edit
I was expecting more of this place after I heard that the owner is the daughter of the famous Shojin chef Mari Fuji, who is teaching cooking classes in Kamakura and all around the world. The food was good, but I had to wait quite a bit for my order, and I found the portion was small for the price. But I want to try another time.

Simple food?? This was a feast! A lot of excellent food for a very reasonable price. I got there at 12:30 and got a table right away. Might be a good idea to book ahead if you're more than 2 people as the space is small. Fast and friendly service, and in English too.

Simple yet delicious! - Edit
I came in solo, didn’t need a reservation and was seated immediately (it was 12:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday) the menu only had 3 options so I got the traditional set (maybe I’ll come back for the curry set) IT WAS BOMB! Tofu katsu, purple grains rice, pickled veggies, miso soup, and two other small dishes I don’t even know what they were LOL. It was all so yummy. I’ll be back!

This place has a small changing menu with delicious flavors. My favorite set has been a soy karaage set. They often have many small portions of various things to try and it is nice especially if you don’t typically eat Japanese food. You can try many things.
