Delicious! - Edit
Kokoz food truck isn’t vegan (or even vegetarian), but everything on their menu can be veganized and the prices can’t be beat. I got the vegan nachos, but I’m looking forward to trying the burger and tacos and also getting the nachos again! 😋 The seating is limited... A large family (5?) arrived at the same time as us and grabbed the table, so we couldn’t eat there, but if you don’t mind driving a few minutes you can eat at the bay, beach, Liliʻuokalani Park, or nearby Rainbow Falls. I am so glad to have this as an option, since we are pretty limited in vegan options here in Hilo.

They also have delicious tacos, burgers, açaí bowls, Thai teas, matcha that you can use SOY milk with.
I talked to the owners and they’re this really sweet couple that apparently have vegan siblings so they KNOW more in depth about vegan food than most restaurants that offer vegan options.
I know it’s not fully vegan but it’s sooo cool to go to a place that has a vegan option for everything on their menu 🙏

Kokoz is the go-to destination for excellent yet affordable vegan options. It's a rarity to stumble upon a burger priced at less than $5 elsewhere. The owners are not only accommodating but also well-versed in catering to vegan preferences. Don't miss out on trying the Kokoz sauce; it's incredibly delicious. Additionally, the tacos are simply outstanding! And for those craving matcha, rest assured, Kokoz offers a vegan-friendly version as well!
