Mediocre at best, but they tried, to make it hard! - Edit
A friend of mine & I went to this place, because we have a few vegan friends coming to San José Del Cabo this weekend. So because there arent any vegan restaurants here we decided to go evaluate this place & others. The staff either has no idea what vegan is, or even food allergies, either or they want to judge & mildly ridicule everyone that comes through their door that asks for vegan, cruelty free & allergen free options. My friend somehow had no problem, I probably know why but won't say it here. However, I had to keep repeating between English & Spanish, several times, "no animals, sin animales, no meat, no fish, I am vegan, soy vegano, libre de crueldad, yo soy vegano", while the waiter listed all the murdered flesh options they offer, & kept having to repeat myself, I even had to refer to saying I found this restaurant through happy cow. My friend said she wanted vegan option once, then had to tell the guy that were both vegan, like it was a surprise a male is vegan. So after all the mental gymnastics, it sucked because we had to take an uber there already, just for me to be treated that way, & I was really just ready to leave.
Read moreThe sushi option they made for me was terrible, no rice, its pictured, it was mid, then the waiter tells me something about the rice not being vegan, however gives my friend a vegan tempura dish with rice on it that she ordered, that she said was mid. So I asked them for a plain bowl of rice, plain-bowl-of-rice, they add toasted sesame on it, they add it to everything, so I peel it off the top of the rice & eat the rice.
This place low effort tried, but we can't bring our friends here. However, vegans that came here before, reading from the past reviews, all I can say is this restaurant isn't even trying, or has gotten worse, they absolutely don't care, or care to understand, or even "google" a vegan sushi recipe, due to ego of an all male restaurant staff. So the past negative reviews are accurate. This place is a waste of time, & money
So with that shame on me, strike 1, I am back on the search for a sushi place in San José del Cabo with vegan options.

It was ok. They didn’t really know what vegan was, but they were able to make me some very basic veggie rolls. Nothing special at all. Very cheap though. Not horrible if you’re stuck going here, but definitely not a first choice.

There may be limited options on the menu, but this surprisingly ended up being our best value meal during our visit to Los Cabos. The food was tasty, good portions, and the least expensive meal during our vacation.

Tasty Japanese with Mex Flair - Edit
Many restaurants are closed on Mondays here. I decided to check out one of the many Japanese options here. This place has fused a bit of Mexican spiciness with Japanese vegetable roll. Flavorful, and highly recommended. I also ordered veggie fried rice which they gladly made for me in spite of its not being on the menu. The Miso ramen was also tasty. Recommended.

Amazing service! So easy to order! Food was delicious!!!! Staff was nice and our waiter spoke English (I am assuming most staff does as well).
