Small place with friendly owner

För vegetarians, there's the triple cheese koshari which I highly recommend. Interesting mixture of rice, macaroni and thread like noodles served with a tasty tomato like soup. On the whole everything was very tasty and the small place quickly filled up for dinner. Note: the owner speaks English.

Nice vegan options

Was the first time that we ate Egyptian food and was really nice! We got their main dishes called Kushari which you can add toppings, and we got hummus with some snacks and salada. The price is nice too!

Egyptian Food Kushariya

One of the rare places to find vegan Egyptian food in Tokyo. Quite a few vegan and vegetarian options in Vegetables section of the menu. Ask staff for details.

'The only place in Japan where you can eat koshali'...

...says this Egyptian restaurant located in a small street near Kinshicho station. The menu is far from being 100% vegan, but they do serve quite a few plant-based options. Make sure to ask about the dish you want though, because the 'Vegetarian' part of the menu includes a dish with cream and another one with tuna (!).

I tried a garlic heavy koshali, and was pretty happy with it. But I'm kind of a garlic fan, so you might not like it :p My wingman for this outing choose the advocado+sour cream one.

I will go again to try out their rice pyramid!

Pros: Cheap, Food you won't find elsewhere, One of Kinshicho's very few vegan friendly places

Cons: Potentially confusing menu, Might be hard to find!
