Wanderlust is back!

The team that created the fan-favorite vegan restaurant Wanderlust are back in ABQ with a new restaurant. First, Knead is in the old Gold Street Cafe location which is beautiful on the outside and in. Located in downtown ABQ in a historic, golden-bricked building, Knead fills the vegan breakfast gap wonderfully. There is on-street parking and a pay-for parking lot across the street.

The inside is bright and decorated in a trendy, minimalist style that complements the over-the-top donuts and menu.

The staff are helpful and kind, and I’ve yet to not love anything I’ve tried. I will say I wasn’t able to finish the Ranchero, it’s huge!

Positively delicious

This is a nice, clean, good vibe and super friendly vegan place. The food had delicious flavors and the donuts….well..with maple and walnut, peanut butter….. drooling just thinking about it.

You can tell the chef has worked to match the flavors and textures. Good quality ingredients and baked fresh daily donuts.

We enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and Lion’s main toast and a few donuts.

Pros: Lots of good choices, Priced right for quality and portions. , Friendly staff

Vegan brunch has arrived in ABQ

Ordered a doughnut, biscuits gravy, and the banana bread French toast. Everything was great, quick to arrive, and the folks working were super friendly. The portions are large and the food is rich so either bring an appetite or plan to take a bit home with you. Sounds like they are working on a dinner menu and alcohol license and we are super excited to see what comes next.

Worth the wait

We arrived in town on Sunday evening, and we had to wait until Knead opened on Wednesday, but it is so worth the wait. We got the biscuits and gravy with potatoes, and the lemon pistachio pancakes, plus chai. Everything was fantastic. We got an espresso glazed donut to go. I cannot say enough good things about this eatery. Plant forward for the win!

Pros: Everything on the menu is vegan and plant forward, Many levels of flavor in the taste combinations, Easily walkable for downtown neighborhood

Cons: A little pricey, Not opened everyday, but I understand

So good! So cute!

Lavender Earl Gray potato brioche doughnut….yes please. Oyster mushroom crab cake Benedict, slow down guys it’s a lot to take in! This Entirely vegan restaurant advertises them selves as “plant forward” not because they cheat into the animal products but because they don’t use vegan mock meats.
The place is gorgeous, the staff cares about veganism. Such an amazing add to the Albuquerque food scene!

Pros: All vegan, Fluffy doughnuts (not just cake doughnuts), So cute

LOVE KNEAD!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE CAJUN LIONS MANE MUSHROOM AND SUNSHINE SPHERE. MY FAVORITE DISH. The Caesar salad is the best I've eaten anywhere!

Pros: Everything is vegan/ plant forward. House made. , Lots of seating and handicap accessible. , Food is amazing and doughnuts are the best ever!
