Somewhere in between of vegan option casual and course menu - Edit
It is great to see they finally adopted vegan options since I met the owner several times years ago. Even gochujang had beef in it and suggested to replace with mushrooms or nothing in it at all. Now, not just a separate menu but course is also available in vegan, wish them to increase more vegan options in the future. A bit pricy… However, they also make vegan dumpling for the school catering which is very nice.

Traditional Korean vegan food - Edit
It won many times Michelin nonstop from 2019ish. My friends and I ordered the special vegan menu course, which offered us one carrot soup, three kinds of salad and a vegetable potato stew. By the end of the course, we had apple chips, some traditional sweets. We all like the first two salad very much, but for the potato stew might not be our choice next time.

A splurge - Edit
This was my second time eating here. The first was probably 5-6 years ago (probably before it received Michelin rating), and back then we just ordered from the entree menu. This time, we tried the vegan course menu. Dishes were good and not overly seasoned. The ingredients being organic are probably what contributed to the high price. However, I do think for the asking price, the serving portion should be a bit larger. It's not fine dining, but it is a splurge nonetheless. You can reserve via catchtable app or call directly. As a side note, this restaurant is operated by an organic food company and has its own grocery store (+ restaurant) somewhere in the Bukcheon area.

nice... but - Edit
Food was good but prices dont match portions. Nice place but if you just order dishes on the side you will be hungry. You need a reservation or will have hard time getting a table here.

Tasty vegan bibimbap! - Edit
Went for lunch and had a great meal! The cafe is part of a little convenience store that has a few other health foods. It also had some orange juice we picked up to enjoy with the meal

High quality vegan tasting menu - Edit
This quaint little restaurant is tucked away down an alley in Insadong. We made reservations on a Friday night for a party of 4 via CatchTable app, which I would recommend as it was full. The decor was comfortable and rustic, and although all the tables were full we didn't feel cramped. We ordered the "special" vegan course menu (45,000 won pp). A "healthy" vegan course menu (35,000 won pp) is also available. There are also meat-based course menus, but note that everyone at the table must choose the same menu.
Read moreWe started with a rich sesame soup offset with a bright citrus green salad. Dried seaweed and tofu chips added a nice crunch. This was followed by a series of courses, each with multiple ingredients, many of which I had never tried and a hard time remembering (one was goat's beard). Each set of items were chosen to pair nicely, creating either harmony or contrast (e.g., fried pancake offset by pickled radish). As would be expected by the restaurant's name, several dishes came with edible flowers and there was a lovely chrysanthemum tea served as a finisher. The meal followed a nice progression with interesting and engaging steps along the way, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all, even the 2 non-vegetarians.
Our server was friendly and helpfully described all of the dishes. He also careful to be there when needed but out of the way the rest of the time, allowing us to focus on our food and conversation.
While the price is considerably higher than other options in Insadong, the quality of ingredients, attention to preparation, and skillful taste pairings make this worth the price if you can afford it.
Pros: High quality food, Interesting ingredients, Friendly staff
Cons: Expensive

Excellent set vegan menu - Edit
I was in Seoul for work and found this place after visiting a nearby palace. It has a great vegan set menu, which is almost the same as the option with meat. The staff recommended a way to cater for the omni in the group, which meant everyone was happy.

Rustic, simple yet elegant - Edit
This is a traditional Korean restaurant that uses mostly organic and local ingredients. It has received some Michelin awards and is kinda well-kown among Koreans. Thus, it's advisable to make a reservation ahead of time, particularly for dinner.
Read moreThey have a couple of vegan dishes (Chaegaejang 채개장, Gochu Japchae 고추잡채, Neung-gaeseungma bap 능개승마밥) and even a vegan course menu. Prices are a bit higher than elsewhere, i.e. 20.000 KRW for a vegan meal with salad, soup and rice, or 35.000 KRW for the course menu.
There are not many vegan options, but their taste is nice and refined. Food is simple but flavorful. They use good ingredients, too, which may justify the price...
The restaurant interior is rustic and decorated in a modernized traditional style.
Pros: taste good, good ingredients
Cons: bit pricey , can get crowded , wish theyd garnish the vegan food with flowers too

The Chagaejang is to die for - Edit
This place is hands down my favorite restaurant in Korea. The ambience is mellow and the veggies are always fresh and crisp. They come up with new banchans (side dishes) every week; all of it is vegan and organic. There are two vegan dishes on the menu: chaegaejang and nunkke seungma bab. The like the former better. They normally serve a small bowl of soup and salad before the meal, both vegan. There are also a couple of vegan starters on the menu. A reservation is recommended for Friday evenings, and the weekend. It’s not crowded on weekdays.
Read moreTip: order an extra cup of rice and ask for more banchan (unlimited).
Pros: All side dishes are vegan , Authentic Korean cuisine , Great ambience
Cons: Slightly on the expensive side, Only two vegan options on the à la carte menu
