Impressive, worth coming back to Kaunas just to chill here. - Edit
I'm 8 years vegan and to be honest it's hard to impress me with vegan food these days, however, the cakes at this cafe were next level. As I don't like too sweet, the owner (French guy) advised me which one to pick and the blueberry/cookie was a winner. The pulled jackfruit sandwich was also amazing!

I had a delicious coffee with pea milk (yum!) and a cranberry cake (sorry, forgot to take photos, I practically inhaled the cake, that's how good it was). Highly recommend! 🤤

Very nice vegan cakes (also many of them gluten free!). I was looking for a vegan and glutenfree breakfast. They didnt have g.free sandwiches but I had a nice coffee, chiapudding and a cake.

I think it is some of the best vegan cakes I have tried.

Great little veggie place with an incredible selection of cakes. The toasties are also incredible and we're all vegan bar one. Can get busy at times but staff are super friendly and accommodating. Its a must visit in kaunas!

Amazing jackfruit sandwich, tasty Chai latte with plant based milk of your choise with foam art and ok black coffee. Clean and good little toilet. Nice atmosphere and english menu plus a friendly english speaking waitress. 100% would recommend to all vegans!

Cute little cafe. Excellent cakes, made with love and care. Almost all the cakes are glutenfree as well, which was amazing news for me! My huspand too the jackfruit sandwich and it was also bursting with savory flavours, although a little expensive.

And they recently went soya free as well. Which is great for me with soya allergy!

It is a lovely little cafe shop where you can drink coffees and eat delicious cakes. Be aware that you have to provide Covid certificates to sit inside but apart from that is a lovely little store.

We absolutely loved this vegetarian cafe which had various options of plant-based milk (soya, almond, etc). All the cakes were vegan, we tried the lime cake and the blueberry one and both were delicious. Also loved the idea of metal straws ☺️ Highly recommend!

Very cute cafe with 4 different types of plant milk (soy, almond, oat, coconut) and a huge variety of cakes (all cakes are vegan). We had the brownie and the hazelnut cake, both were delicious!

Vegetarian restaurant with a lot of vegan options. We tried a jackfruit-avocado-veggie sandwich (€4,50). It was quite busy but the interior and also terrace is spacious so it was not annoying. We had to wait 20 minutes (told on forehand) but it was definitely worth it. The sandwich was really tasty and copious! We had a similar good experience with Chaika in Vilnius. Nice concept!

Chaika is a cosy cafe in the middle of Kaunas old town. If the weather is good, they have tables not only outside but some outside as well. The menu is mostly focused on large variety of teas, coffees and desserts but they also serve a few light meals, such as sandwiches. Everything in the menu is vegetarian and most of the things are vegan-friendly. For example, most if not all fancy cakes are vegan which makes Chaika the best place in Kaunas to deal with one's vegan cake addiction.
Read moreI would give Chaika five starts if they switch to being 100% vegan and stop charging additional fee for plant milks (now it's 0.3€ extra). Despite that, the place is highly recommended, so please visit them if you are in the old town.
