Vegan confusion - Edit
Lovely building inside and out. Got a great table upstairs with nice views. Friendly staff. A few vegan options on the menu. Ordered vegan breakfast which was good - perhaps a little small but saved by thick toast slices w vegan butter. Tried to order a vegan sausage sandwich but it came with mayonnaise - the server was confused and took the food back to check - then confirmed they it did have mayo on it but that they’d make a new one without mayo. A little while later a different server came back with what I’m pretty sure was exactly the same sandwich / plate as before - including the mayo.

Despite the confusion/ mistakes plan to go back as the vegan food we did get was good - it’s a great place and a supporting a good cause.

The vegan brekkie filled me up after a long morning run and was just £7. Would recommend!

The menu only lists a few vegan options, although there are lots of veggie options. Would be nice if they had a few other choices or could offer alternatives to make the veggie options vegan. The vegan options they do have though are all really tasty and good quality. We will be back. :)

Cosy and welcoming cafe with good range of vegan options - Edit
This cafe is linked to a local charity, the Basement Project, and is partly run by volunteers. They serve breakfasts, light lunches, drinks and cakes, and daily specials. The full vegan breakfast is good, including scrambled tofu and avocado, and they also do a great vegan sausage sandwich. They always have at least one vegan cake - we invariably come home clutching a slide of their really good date crumble slice. Nice vibe, very nicely fitted out.
