The food is awesome good!

Had a very satisfying lunch yesterday, thanks to my dearest friends who helped to find this vegan home restaurant - Kinahouse Okinawa Sesoko, thanks to the owner who is willing to make a bento set for me despite not making reservation in advance, and thanks to @happycow recommendation.

Brought the bento set at 1000 Yen (~sgd $13) and it's so yummmy! I finished all by myself 🥰 because it's my first legit vegan meal in Okinawa! Haha.

Note: dine in at the vegan restaurant should be possible but do make reservation in advance!

Pros: Friendly owner, Skillful cook, Yummy food

Cons: Need to make reservation in adv

True Home Cooking

This place is a total gem. The owner is a very sweet woman who moved to Okinawa from mainland and runs a bed and breakfast at the location. She cooked a delicious 3 course 100% vegan meal for my girlfriend and I. It was a romantic setting as we were the only ones in the "restaurant" (downstairs kitchen area of the home). Quite an experience! The food was traditional Japanese and very delicious.

Pros: Quiet Vibe, Excellent Food

Cons: Not suitable for large groups, Reservation required

Delicious and filling

Really good vegan set lunch. Beautiful fried seaweed and delicious brown rice and soup. Lots of various dishes. A bit difficult to find if you use Google Maps, but Apple maps worked very well. You do need to make a reservation by text or call as she cooks to order. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
