Tasty bowl of oatmeal/porridge for a reasonable price. Decent portion size. Staff is very friendly and they serve some tasty coffee. Pancakes also seemed to be good. Pretty much everything here is vegan or can be made vegan. Also a large selection of mostly vegan sweets/cakes. Highly recommend!

We chanced stopping in on a Saturday morning. Despite being clearly pretty booked up, the staff managed to accommodate us. I noticed they were constantly on the ball with juggling bookings and walk ins - really making the effort to get everyone fed.
Read moreI had the shakshuka (made vegan) while my husband had the Kin Breakfast. We also had a couple of coffees. The portions were pretty big for a breakfast and really kept us going through the day.
It was a bit of a squeeze in there, but can't really complain when they'd made the effort to ensure we were seated.

Went for lunch at this lovely little cafe after finding it on Happycow. I went for the omelette because it's so rare to see a vegan omelette on a menu and it's not something I've mastered at home yet. I did like this - it was really creamy and cheesy but not much like an omelette, it was crispy on the outside but liquid inside. Still tasty though and a huge portion.

I liked the staff here , we were seen to very fast even though we didn’t have a booking we sat outside with a heat lamp, got served straight away even though it was super busy. Food arrived quickly too - waffles were absolutely delicious and looked so pretty, the burrito was really tasty. I really craved a green juice and theirs really hit the spot. Will definitely be visiting again but book a table next time now I know how popular it is!

Excellent place to have a lovely vegan brunch. I had one of their more popular items on the menu made a vegan. I can’t remember the name of it but have a look at the photo. It was also nice to eat outside, as the outdoor heaters made this possible in January.

Funny story. While in London my phone was diverted to a British operator (O2) and therefore dropped the data connection very often. Also, because of all the tall buildings in London it is often hard to get a good GPS reading. The result: I was quite lost and could not find the restaurant I was looking for. By accident I ended up in West End and when O2 granted me a brief moment of connectivity, I noticed that "Kin Cafe" was nearby.
Read moreWhat a lucky coincident! Because the unassuming little restaurant in an unassuming street in a residential area serves amazing food. I went for the "Chickpea curry" and it is the best chickpea based meal I've ever had. It's a true explosion of flavours, from sweet to sour to spicy. On top of that it is presented beautifully and the ingredients seem to be of good quality. Also, it's quite filling and energetic.
I am not the only one who appreciates the qualities of Kin Cafe. On a weekend around 3 o'clock (too late for lunch, too early for dinner) the place was packed and I even had to wait outside for a while. The food also took some time to arrive.
Had I known how good the food at Kin Cafe is, I would have went there on purpose. Luckily, Kin Cafe will open a second restaurant in London early 2023!
Pros: superb chickpea curry, cosy, big portion, fair price
Cons: too busy, even between lunch and dinner, located far from shops / tourist areas

Read moreAfter making a trip to London we made a booking for 3. We arrived and were told they could only provide us a table for two despite there being free tables and a table of 3 already being seated with adequate seating.
With a lot of effort and negotiation we were able to get another table once the previous group had left. Poor customer service from staff, we weren't asking for too much just a table for three and three seats adequate to eat at.
Only when the manager stepped in we managed to get a table that would fit three plates on in the end.
The waiter forgot we were there so waited a while to take our order. Then the food arrived:
Eggs and toast, dry no butter on the single piece of sourdough.
Waffles, cold, not fresh without flavour.
Vegan breakfast, scramble tofu had zero flavour and homemade beans curried, not ideal option for breakfast.
12.5% service fee still added.
Pros: Vegan options , Nice coffee
Cons: Expensive , Poor service even when booked, Lacked flavour /dry food

We came here to try the breakfast. Most of their dishes either are vegan or could be made vegan. I ordered a coffee which was very nice, a little smaller than I’m used to but the taste was nice.
